Pardon the photo quality, but the food was delicious. Upgraded the sesame chicken to white meat for an extra $1.25 but absolutely worth it. Maybe on of the best Chinese take-out chickens I have had in a while. The vegetable lo mein was a bit more greasy than I’d like but not enough to hurt the business’ rating for. The food was well-priced, well-portioned, conveniently located, and tasted great.

$10 for “chicken” lo mein…what a joke. All the recent reviews about Hunan Express getting skimpy with the portions are correct! There was barely any chicken to found in my lo mein. It’s like they cut the chicken portion in half while raising the price. At top of that, the lo mein didn’t taste good. Completely lacked flavor. Hunan Express is definitely falling out of favor with me. Better options out there.

Was here the evening of 11/28/2022 and ordered Singapore noodles. As I was placing the noodles in a smaller bowl to eat, I found hair in my noodles!!! I called this store right away and the lady asked me to come back and I was able to get something else, but I will never come back to this restaurant ever again, yuck!

Updated review. This was usually my go to place for Chinese food in Crofton. The food is good. However, like with many other businesses there has been an increase in price and decrease in quality in recent years. I noticed that I would get a mildly sick after eating here sometimes. Particularly after ordering meals with shrimp and broccoli. I initially blew it off, but the last episode I had was clearly food poisoning. I stopped eating there as much, but would still occasionally order for family. Today, a family member is terribly sick after eating shrimp egg foo young from Hunan Express. I really didn’t want to write a bad review, but people should be careful when ordering takeout especially. A lot of these places are unsanitary and the workers could care less what they throw in a bag.

Took a very long time to receive my food; I placed my order at 5pm, received it at 6:10pm on a Sunday… Ordered chicken with broccoli, and crispy beef. Not complicated at all. The food arrived so cold that the sauce was coagulated. The flavor was mid, at best.

Never got through placing my order, the lady at the counter was extremly rude and worthless. They would be better of setting up a kiosk vice providing customer service. I walked out and drove to Vin Noodle instead.
