The staff is so wonderful and kind! We’ve been getting takeout for a few months now which has always been a great experience, but the ambiance inside is even better. It’s usually pretty quiet and it makes for a good pit stop if you’ve been shopping downtown. The food is solid — best tofu around IMO!

Didn’t realize when you order a dish that comes with vegetables that you’re actually ordering vegetables maybe with meat. Got MAYBE 5 small slivers of beef with the seshuan beef. The rest was ALL onions, peppers and carrots. Pork fried dumplings were so soggy you couldn’t even tell they were fried. Beef and broccoli was broccoli with 3 or 4 pieces of beef. Fried rice was so undercooked you could hear the crunch of other people chewing. This was just horrible. Waste of almost $100. NOT WORTH IT AT ALL DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

my favorite American Chinese food in Fred. The flavors may not be fiery, but you can order hot oil on the side. the big draw, however, is that the vegetables are always fresh! not many lunch specials downtown that you can feel this good about at this price!

I’m giving an overall 3 stars due to every other time order yall either forget something or give me the wrong thing. I ordered white rice not fried . Also I ordered a steak and cheese egg roll and received a ground beef and cheese egg roll. Overall food is always fresh its just annyoing when you drive out of your way to get the wrong thing or pay for delivery and get the wrong thing.. please check the orders to assure accuracy.

I have been going to Hunan Garden for about 12 years and it never disappoints! The food and service are always excellent! Coco and staff are always so wonderful and kind. I moved out of state years ago but return to Fredericksburg frequently and always make sure to eat at Hunans when I’m in town. If you’re looking for quality Chinese food with friendly service, you definitely need to check out Hunan Garden!

Mediocre. The Crab Rangoon was just about the worst I’ve had in ages. The rest of the food was very average, but at least not bad tasting. They did, however, fail to include our two orders of egg rolls. Such a shame, but I will mention their interior did look pretty interesting when I picked up, so you may enjoy this restaurant for that alone.
