First visit to Hunan Gardens. Clean, well-lit, comfortable facility. Well above average service, and good food at competitive pricing. The crispy chicken is especially notable. Sweet crunchy goodness in every bite. Expansive menu, there is pretty much something to please everyone here. If it’s not on the menu, they’ll still do their best to make you happy.

We went in as a fairly large group and they were able to accommodate us and the staff was very nice about it. The food was fantastic and the environment was very welcoming! We were served fried wonton chips with a sauce that I was told was lovely, and hot tea that hit the spot! Rice came with our meals and went well with the main dishes. It was delicious!

Got carry out this time. Tried something new (to me) mango shrimp Szechuan. Fairly good sweet and savory but not very spicy. Plenty of mango! I didn’t have any lemon available, but I believe a squeeze of juice would have kicked up the whole flavor experience a notch by adding a little tartness. See pictures.

Service is good, and it’s a quite place, so the overall dining experience is good. The food though is not outstanding, I thought it was a little too salty, and the portion is not very big. If you want better flavor, I recommend the other Hunan Garden (it’s run by the same person, but it’s the more authentic version).

Tucked away in a row of Texas Township stores, Hunan Gardens is our favorite Chinese food go to. Met at the door by great staff, service is prompt and friendly. We have tried a variety: House Crispy Chicken, Cashew Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Egg Foo Young, soups and egg roll and none disappoint! Prices are very reasonable and a robust carry out business keep Hunan Garden staff busy.

Best we’ve had! The lunch meals are a great deal! Service is great and food is outstanding. We have had a lot of dishes. My favorite is the mongolian beef with a side of spicy oil. Husband likes the house chicken. New favorite spot!
