Buffet is really enjoyable, but not very large. 16-20 items for their main dishes, with sushi and various other things. Food is fresh, tastes rather good, and warm always. Their menu is quite large, and impressive quality. The peaking duck is good, and they don’t need a 24 hour reservation. It’s not top quality food like you’ll find in a city, but great for an area with limited choices.

Service was awful!! It started when walked in. It was as though we were bothering them. The waitress was annoyed when someone in our party wanted to order off the menu while the rest of us got the buffet . She didn’t come back to ask what she wanted on the menu. She finally just had the buffet. We requested more napkins three times and nothing . The waitress walked by about 3 times. I finally asked someone else and she heard my complaint. She barked at me while filling my glass with water saying you only asked one time! I thought she was going to throw the water at me. Never came back to see how things were or if we needed anything. She sent over the bill via another waiter! ! She tacked on 15% for the tip. It was only 4 of us!! And we had the buffet. I complained to the manager, waste of time. I said I was not paying the tip because if the way we were treated. I asked why wad the tip added? She said it was a new policy! Yeah, right! The waitress was pissed at us and wanted to screw us over. DO NOT GO THERE!!

This place sucks…plain and simple. Went there with my family of six people for the dinner buffet and the food trays in the buffet were almost empty. Three pieces of sushi. Had a partial plate of peel and eat shrimp. When I went back, no more shrimp and they didn’t refill it. One small pot of tea for six adults. Luke warm. There isn’t one decent Chinese restaurant on Cape Cod. Save your money and go someplace else. How this place stays in business, I’ll never know. Doesn’t even deserve one star.

We ordered take out and it was terrific! The Kung Po Delight, Two Flavor Chicken and the vegetable dumplings the best items we had. The hot and sour soup the least good. Very quick pick up time too. We will return.

The Hunan Gourmet has been and always will be the pinnacle of my Cape Cod Vacation. Words can barely describe the emotions evoked by this restaurant. Although inconspicuous on the outside, the interior of this restaurant is as classy as the food is delicious. My family and I consumed enough to feed a team of lumberjacks, but never once did the kind smile disappear from our waiter’s face. The buffet option here features 16 items, fresh sushi, and ice cream, which was quite refreshing. As we left the restaurant, a native cape family smiled and said “Its the best food in town.” After many vacations here, I can’t say I disagree.

The Cape isn’t usually the best place for Chinese food but the Hunan is pretty darn good. The buffet has lots of crab legs and big shrimp and the other dishes are well done. Service is good but a bit slow if you order off the menu instead of getting the buffet.

First the food was very good. After that, it goes down hill. The service was abysmal and the Mai Tai was diluted gasoline. I arrived at 845 on Friday night, but it seemed they were ready to close. They allegedly close at ten. I would only consider take out. The rating is generous.

I hit their buffet on an off time, so much of it was dried out. Not a bad buffet had the food been fresh, but with only 2 customers, I can cut them a break. They have a bad location, as Google Maps will tell you you’re there when you are on the highway, and you have to go down a side street a couple blocks, then take the cross street to get into the lot.

DON’T EVER COME HERE! We came here and saw a few crab legs and shrimps, so we thought the price was acceptable for a buffet dinner. But in a few mins the crabs run out. We asked them to serve more. At first they said more will come. Then they said they were still defreezing so it might take some time. After a while, we were told that there were no more crabs. That’s rediculous! We were there at 6PM ON FRIDAY! We complained and the manager said something like ‘ this is not a all you can eat crab meal. If you want to have it, go somewhere else for a doubled price!’ and ‘we never guaranteed that there will be crabs. See we don’t have the buffet menu’. We were so disappointed at their poor attitude. If you don’t have it, you should tell us directly! Cheating customers doesn’t help! We will never come back.

When I got to the restaurant I was greeted by some friendly staff and a nice large menu. Unfortunately for me that was basically the last time I saw my waitress. One of my friends order a “Torn Collins ” which he described as tasting like dirty bathwater. When are meals arrived they were mildly ok at best. One friend passionately described the food saying “I didn’t hate it”. Now after eating Chinese food we must naturally discuss the bathroom. If you are like me and glance at your creation before the flush then you would be appalled to know that it will stick around long enough for you to bond. Before you can finish washing your hands the pile and you will have spent enough time together that by the time you go to leave the poop will be calling you daddy begging you not to leave for a some smokes and lotto tickets never to return home again.
