First time trying food from here. Take out order. The inside of restaurant is gorgeous and clean. Staff that I interacted with was very friendly. I ordered black pepper steak with added bean sprouts and crab rangoon. They also gave me a pint of free fried rice since it was my first time at their restaurant.

When restaurants open in 1987 like the human lion and they are still serving today it’s almost always bc they are exceptional. The Hunan lion is most definite exceptional. Same owners all these years and they care A LOT about their biz and it shows. If ur this far reading I’ll just say this. IF you eat at the HL and ur being honest I really think you will say, “this is the best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to.” Outside of perhaps China which I don’t see many Americans visiting in the near future. Well at least we have the Hunan Lion on Bethel:))

I have been coming here for almost 15 years of the 26 I’ve been alive and can say hands down this is where I go to have a nice quiet dinner and wait staff to match a wonderful atmosphere. Joey took care of us last night at the bar and it was absolutely amazing. He waited on us hand and foot without to ask for almost anything. He was there ready already a step ahead. I’m a server and I was but nothing of impressed. I feel the same way when Shawn takes care of us in the dining room to great extent and always request him when we sit in the dining room, and the hostess is beyond respectful and cordial to a T. I’m impressed and love coming here 🙂 I’ll be back again very soon. To Shawn and Joey, I love getting waited on by both of you gentlemen. It is always such a pleasure to see you both! See you soon!
