Ever since I moved to New Jersey I have ordered Chinese food from a few different places but this spot always comes through. We love the pork fried rice and the scallion pancakes are huge. Also the crab rangoon is always crispy and flavorful, So delicious. I got the sesame chicken combination special with pork fried rice and my wife got the sweet and sour chicken. We shared crab rangoon and scallion pancakes I like to try new places alot. But when we are in the mood for Chinese this is our go to spot..

I have been ordering Chinese and Thai food from here for several years and my meal is always freshly prepared and delicious. The menu selections are extensive and the staff is always patient and accurate when they take my order, whether it’s in person or a call-in order. I usually have a brief friendly conversation when I pick-up my order, if they’re not too busy (which they usually are) because I’m a regular customer. They also offer delivery.

Our usual Chinese food place is closed Mondays so we branched out and tried Hunan Wok. I have to say I wasn’t sure what to expect based on the mixed reviews, but our food was delicious. My chicken and garlic sauce combo was very fresh, pork fried rice wasn’t greasy and was very tasty. We ordered through DoorDash and our food came very fast. I noticed most 5 star reviews were for food and 1 stars were for customer service. So, go with your own priorities. But I would definitely order from here again.

Have been ordering from Hunan Wok for more years than I can remember. I don’t know if anyone has had the problem that in the last year or so the food has consistently gone down hill. Ordered last night, bland under cooked eggplant in garlic sauce, vegetable dumplings gummy & starchy, bland fried rice, wonton soup not edible (pork sour), the rest of the food overwhelmed with too much oil. Nothing was edible! Never again…will stick to Avenue East for now. 0 stars – more appropriate.
