Howie Maui… I’ve eaten pizza my whole life. But last night was horrible. I ate two slices of Howie Maui and yup.. food poisoning. I was throwing up pineapple pizza until 2 am this morning. Not sure if it was bad pineapples or undercooked ham but that was the worst experience of my 45 yo life.

Ordered online for delivery. Said it would we 30-40 min delivery time. Hour and half later it arrives. Pizza was not hot at all, toppings were sparce. WON’T be ordering from them again. Maybe the name Hungry Howie fits, cause you really have to be so hungry to eat the pizza

I work in customer service, so I understand that some days can be rough. I was there tonight getting dinner for my family. The online orders were taking much longer than expected, which caused stress for the customers and employees. The gentleman at the register was doing his very best to make things right for unhappy costumers, who havw been waiting much longer for the their online order than when the app was stating the order would be ready. I got there in the middle of this hectic time, but luckly I didn’t have to wait too much longer for my order. I didn’t say much as I perviously stated that I do work in customer service, so I know how troubling this can be. What threw me over the edge was the female making the pizzas that WAS USING FOWL LANGUAGE IN FRONT MY SON AND THE REST OF THE CUSTOMERS THAT WERE WAITING!!!! THAT IS SOMETHING I WILL NOT TOLORATE!! I understand that things were chatoic, people were complaining, etc, but cussing in front of children, not to mention other customers just because you’re aggravated is classless. Someone needs a customer service lesson! I will refrain from bringing my children in with my next time, if there is a next time. I really hope there are actions taken for this employees reckless behavior.

The staff was friendly and nice. You could tell they were slammed tonight however the pizza was just drenched in grease. I know pizza is greasy but we had to literally wipe the bottom of the pizza off with paper towels and dab the top just to eat it and still have more grease than a Brooklyn style pizza. I would definitely try it again and hope it’s different next time!

Compared to other Hungry Howie’s stores, This store is phenomenal. The staff is great and I’m never disappointed with my pizza. They never short you on seasonings and toppings. The crust is always done just right. If in Jacksonville, I recommend you use this location. Best Hungry Howie’s I’ve been to.

I was told 45 min and at first I knew that I should have order dominoes or Pizza Hut. I live down the street and I told myself to give you all a chance. It took an hour and 10 min to deliver one pizza. The individual didn’t even ask me to sign no documents. Pizza was lukewarm. There is no reason for me to ever order again. My wife and I just decided to cook instead. What a waste of time and money. I wish I could make this up.

It’s a hit and miss. Sometimes I get the pizza on time and others it takes over an hour and a half to get my order. Mind you I live less than a mile away. Sometimes my pizza’s folded in half while others it’s in pristine condition. I’ll continue ordering and hopefully my good experiences outweigh the bab
