Ever since the Hungry Howie’s on Southside Blvd. closed, we have been coming to this location. Noticed that this location closed for remodel and just happened to check the app today and it showed that they were open. Got a great deal on 3 small pizzas and they all tasted great. The remodel looks great inside! Clean & updated. The manager/owner was very nice and asked me how I liked the new remodel and I told him it was like night and day compared to the way it looked before. He also told me today was the first day that they re-opened after the remodel. Glad they’re back open! This is my family’s favorite place to go for a great deal on yummy pizza with garlic butter crust! My family’s favorite crust flavor among the many flavors they have.

Almost every time I order from Hungry Howie’s, the get it perfectly right. I don’t think I have ever had a bad experience at this location. They give me every reason to drive past all the fast food restaurants along the way to get a much better meal at the same price or better. I will return here, time and time again. Hands down, one of the best pizza places here in Jacksonville. Please do not put them in the same category such as lil Cesars or domino’s pizza. Trust me they are in their own category. They are even better than the Al’s pizza. The food is fresh, the customer service is on point, oh yeah don’t forget about their prices. I’ve been coming here for over 20 years, and trust me. It’s a hit or miss with this location, I’ve gotten some pretty good pizza, burnt pizza for a birthday party and then this..the pizza was cold,you can tell the crust isn’t even cooked and how chewy it is. I put my slice of pizza in the microwave hoping it would help but no..made it worst it just filled the plate. There was steak on my ham and and bacon. Glad I didn’t order pineapples on it. Think I need to find a new pizza place. Delivery fee is also higher than most places. Guess that’s why they have on the sign that they pay their drivers more. 5.99 is insane.

This afternoon our family stopped by this particular location for lunch after traveling from NC. As soon as we walked in we noticed a young man, Skyler was his name. We noticed he was doing a lot of tasks by himself as best he could while the others were delivering. He made sure to still be attentive to us despite him having to do most orders by himself. We ate in the restaurant and he didn’t miss a beat bringing us plates, crushed pepper and Parmesan, our food, and drinks. Then as we ate we noticed him get a small rush of people and he handled them all by himself till and awesome driver came in to help tend the the customers faster. Overall it was a great first experience and the food was amazing! 10/10 recommend

Friendly staff, location needs serious renovations, there’s a sign that says under new management hopefully they can turn this place around. There’s a odd smell (not pizza) in the lobby maybe a bathroom cleaner or something that’s making me cough. Will update on the taste of the pizza!!
