First time eating here. We both had the steam bags of seafood. I had the ‘Fresh off the hook’ bag with garlic season butter and my husband had the ‘Firecracker combo’ with everything seasoning. It came with extra butter and we decided to get extra seasoning just in case! I had the medium heat but it was way milder than I thought it would be which was a good thing for me lol. The seafood gumbo and hushpuppies were really good too. Both were piping hot as in freshly cooked I liked that they had a bar too! Overall we were pleased and will be back.

This was my first time at Hunter Crab, I cant wait to go again! This was a work function and we had a table full of women, our waiter was awesome. He was by himself and didnt miss a beat keeping our whole table happy. I had a fried shrimp basket- the shrimp was huge and soooo good! Appetizers were awesome too and the cheesecake….. Yummy!!

The service was not good. The waitress brought our food but didn’t bring us the buckets with the tools and gloves and bib to use which is a very obvious thing when serving seafood boils. After waiting a few minutes, I had to go and find her to ask her to bring us supplies to eat our meal. Then she failed to bring refills for drinks which was not enjoyable when eating spicy food. It was not busy at all and she only had two tables including ours. I kept trying to make eye contact when she received her 3rd table so I could ask for refills but she darted away multiple times not stopping by to ask or notice the empty glasses at the edge of our table. I finally had to get up and ask the lady behind the bar to please get us refills so we could finish our meals. Even if the food is good, customer service will make the difference when it comes to returning. No thank you.

It’s hard for me to avoid comparing because my husband and I go out to a different crab boil restaurant, The Mighty Crab, pretty frequently. Compared to that restaurant, this one falls short. On its own, it’s great! I didn’t enjoy the seasoning as much, and our steamed oysters arrived cold here, with little seasoning. The service and atmosphere were fantastic. I ordered the 2 crab clusters and was relieved to find I got 3 to make my meal closer to a full pound of crab. Again, the oysters were the only hiccup and we still really enjoyed the food and service. Definitely a great place to visit!

Ordered the Fresh off The Hook combo with lobster tail. There’s was barely to no seasoning (mostly just butter) and I asked for “extra extra seasoning” when ordering. They don’t even use garlic cloves. I got home and added my own seasoning to it. The ladies at the front are nice but the food is underwhelming.

We got the fish basket, shrimp basket and flounder/catfish basket. The portions were more than we could eat. The shrimp were nice big shrimp. The flounder filets and catfish filets were good sized. Each basket came with fries and hush puppies. Will definitely be going back.

Just Wow!! Great service, both interactions with staff (hostess and waitress) were great. The food was hot and AMAZEBALLS! Ambiance and music were relaxing and enjoyable. Definitely going to make my way back for seconds!

Great spot for crab boil. Ordered a pricy boil dish with the king crab, but it was well worth it for two people. Take out came with all essentials to enjoy your food and in a bag to keep warm for the road. Worth trying it out
