This place is a hidden little gem in Gold beach. I have been going to Gold Beach for over 25 years to go salmon fishing at different times of the year and we always struggle to find good food. The search is over. Hunter Creek has really yummy pub style food at a good price. They make a good mixed drink and the service and locals are very nice. The only thing I could point out is they only had 2 beers on tap and they are located next to the brewery. But maybe it was an off day for tap beers. They accommodated my beer selection with a good bottled IPA from Bend, Or. If you are visiting Gold Beach or have never been to Hunter Creek Bar & Grill, go check this place out. They have a crazy toilet in the men’s room with a corky sign above it, so I had to photograph it to share.

Found this little gem on a road trip up the State of California and into Oregon and was rewarded with what’s probably the best fish and chips I’ve had in many, many years. Quantity and quality were fantastic for the price and the beer selection went perfectly with the meal. I truly enjoyed my dinner that evening so much, that on my return trip the next day back down into California, I stopped there again for my lunch and enjoyed a fantastic burger along with their unique french fries. I highly recommend it for any hungry travelers willing to leave the main highway for a short detour, and a simple but rewarding culinary experience.

We stopped for lunch and it was terrific. I had ground beef tacos that were seasoned perfectly. In fact the tacos were the best that I’ve had in quite awhile. They were better than what you can get at the majority of mexican restaurants! Hubby had fish & chips. His fish was perfectly fried and the fish pieces were large. They make their own chips which were very good too!

Nice little place. Seemed like a fun atmosphere.I went for take out fish and chips. I sat at the bar. My order was taken fairly quickly. The wait was reasonable and the waitress/ bartender kept me informed. (That there was a couple orders ahead of me) the food was excellent. And the price was too. I would definitely go back.

Reasonable prices for food. You can tell the chef puts love in his cooking. Tried a whiskey mule in a copper cup. The mule had a really nice balance of tart, liquor, and sweetness.

We have been coming here for a few years, whenever we visit Gold beach. Loved going here until our last trip. The tatooded waitress on our last trip was obviously anti-tourist. Very friendly with the locals, but obviously stand-off when she served people she didn’t know.
