I love a good hole in the wall bar by the water & this is it! I got the blackened fish tacos and hushpuppies with a beer and it was so good! We sat out on the patio because the weather was nice and this place really hit the spot after a day on the water.

Hunter’s Cafe at Shellman’s Bluff, is a nice, usually quiet small restaurant, which has been there for as long as I can remember. I love the flounder, the fries and hushpuppies are as good as it comes. It’s a very small place, which not many people don’t know about unless you are from this area. The last time I was there was many years ago, as back then it seated about a dozen people. Extremely good, fresh seafood !

Hunter’s Cafe in Shellman Bluff Georgia is a hidden gem ! It’s well off the beaten path, yet located in Downtown Shellman Bluff! Rustic bar with stools and booths to eat and drink, with full bar and restaurant menu. There’s also a separate dining room. Food was good with reasonable prices. Very nice bartender. Beware, Big Rigs! There’s only ONE parking spot down there (across from the Bait Shop) and we lucked out to get it. We arrived at 4pm and they don’t open till 5pm. Also, clearance under Cypress trees is limited; we’re 10-11 feet, careful, and were fine. Hint: You’ll say Google Maps is crazy when she tells you to turn towards the waterfront, however, not all the roads go through and around, so trust her!!!

I paid $34 for a terrible steak even though the menu sold it otherwise.The clams were delicious but came with our meal instead of being our appetizer. My husband’s seafood was ok. Waited forever for our food and there were only 6 people in the restaurant. When we left the waitress was outside smoking on her phone so that may explain the service.We won’t be back.
