We had stumbled apon this place due to our love of mom and pop places. The service was quick, and the food was amazing! The hush puppies are to die for! If your in the area be sure to stop in. The atmosphere is eclectic yet timeless. Great food and reasonably priced. It’s time more people knew about this place besides just the locals. We will be back again!

Easily 5 stars here! Food was DELICIOUS! Staff was so friendly! I’ll definitely be eating here again! Everything was absolutely perfect! My wife and I split “The Whaler”. Every bit of the seafood was piping hot, the scallops tender, the fries fresh and crispy, and the slaw fresh and cold. You can tell they really care about their food. Oh! And don’t forget their namesake, the hushpuppies! Perfection!

Wonderful food, cooked and served quickly, by friendly people. Shrimp cooked just until tender. Not overcooked either. Choices of lots of sides to go with your plates. And the hushpuppies are to die for!!! I could eat my weight in the supplies alone!!!

So sorry they decided to close. We miss being able to eat there. The shrimp were fried so light they would melt in your mouth and not the least bit greasy. The cole slaw was lightly dressed, so that you actually tasted the ingredients. The baked potatoes were fluffy and needed very little butter. But the hushpuppies were delicious. I coul have made a meal just on them. They were homemade and fresh cooked. Melt in your mouth good! The wonderful food was served by very courteous people who paid attention to what you needed. The owner even came out of the kitchen to ask us how everything was. Very nice people. I wish they were still open.
