A couple of really easy fixes would make this a 4 star restaurant for me. 1) Play some kind of music. Eating in dead silence is just strange, especially at a sushi place where you’d expect chill music vibes.. it honestly killed the experience for me, just lacked energy in there. 2) Change your menus to reflect accurate prices. The server told the first person in our party that the menus she handed us had incorrect prices. The new prices are online, we could look there. This message was not relayed to me when I arrived, so I was surprised when everything on my bill was $3-$4 more than the list price. The menus were really dated and hard to read anyway, not sure why they wouldn’t just take the time to print accurate ones.

I live about 5 minutes away and finally decided to give this place a go. The sushi here is great! Fresh fish, perfectly cooked rice, and a variety of options. I did not try their appetizers but it seems like they had some good options. I really want to emphasize that the sushi was surprisingly very good. The atmosphere is quiet, and the music could be turned up a bit so it does not feel so awkward. The food is great, but the restaurant lacks vibe and personality. Food is 4/5 stars, but atmosphere is key to a dining experience. A bit more vibe and the rating can definitely be higher.

If you are a sushi / oriental food lover… This is an absolute must. Very good and speedy service. Sushi was of a very high quality with perfect marbling and texture. I ordered the beef fried rice and before Hutong, I didn’t even know fried rice could get that good.

My wife and I frequent this restaurant at least once a month. Their sushi rolls are amazing. The Nebraska roll, Godzilla roll, and California roll are what we usually get. The service is also amazing. It’s usually the same woman, and she practically remembers our usual order. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Sushi was good. Service was terrible. Server forgot our order and we ended up waiting over 30 minutes before we even saw our food. The appetizers came out after the main meal. Then the chef yelled at the server in the restaurant. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend dining in at this restaurant. Order take out if you want to try this locations food.
