Great small town diner feel in a large city. The reviews were excellent, and for good reasons. I came in around lunchtime, so the place was packed, and I had to wait. They greet you as soon as you arrive. It took about 10 to 15 min to be seated. The place is clean and organized. The decor makes you feel at home and to top it off, they fire place and piano in the center of the main room brings it all together. The service was fast, and the food was excellent. Many items to choose from. I will definitely return maybe on a Saturday the waitress, mention that someone plays the piano on Saturday while you dine.

I personally really proffered the look and atmosphere of the previous location although I do think it’s great that they’ve upgraded and expanded.

Wow! Huxley’s Bookmark Cafe had delicious food, attentive staff, and a charming atmosphere. My waitress, Caroline, was phenomenal and always made sure my needs were met. I definitely recommend this establishment if you live in the area. I will definitely be coming back!

My son took me to breakfast at this little gem. It had a nice atmosphere. Even had a real piano player. I was very impressed with the food. It was really good. We had a friendly waitress Hailey. She took good care of us. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Service was great. Will definitely go there again.

Very busy place so obviously very well liked. In spite of being very busy, loads of parking and seating and an extremely hard working staff! The food is very good and a huge menu so plenty of choices for everyone. You can’t go wrong here.

Found this spot from yelp. We were hiking in the area and wanted lunch. It’s a really nice place. Service was great. Our server was very friendly and attentive . One of my favorite things was that a guy was playing a piano in the center of the restaurant. I have never seen this before but it was so awesome. I ordered a salad and a chicken cutlet panini. I enjoyed my lunch and I enjoyed this restaurant very much!

Enjoyable breakfast experience. The books sitting on the bookshelves hung on the walls throughout the diner is a cute idea. What really made it unique was the baby grand piano in the center of the restaurant. We were lucky enough to have a pianist there playing while we dined. The food was typical for a diner but much better than most. The only downside was that it was on the expensive side for breakfast food. Otherwise, a very nice place to try.

The three of us had breakfast here this morning. Seeing some empty spaces in the parking lot was a good sign. We were seated, but took a long while to order. We ordered drinks and again took awhile to order food. We ordered our meals and after waiting for about 25 minutes, noticed people who came in after us were served and eating their meals. Once the food finally arrived, it was tasty and hot.

Loved Huxley’s since before I moved to SC. Back in Meriden so decided to visit. Still the best breakfast spot. Love the new ( to me ) location. My omelette was perfect. Nice cup of tea. Wait staff was friendly and personable.
