As a South African spending time in the USA I have craved that dinner experience of great food and great staff treating their customers like family and I have to say Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries, my hat goes off to you all. From the moment I walked into the restaurant to the drink and food I had and amazing company I had with the staff while eating you all deserve more than 5 stars THANK YOU ALL for the unforgettable Dinner experience I have always dreamed of as a South African. Stopped by there recently, and it has reopened up under new management as of a few weeks back. Place was so clean it was not recognizable from what I had seen earlier this year. What a lot of hard work put into it to turn it over, I sat at the bar and could even see quite a few pieces of new equipment as well. Painted it too – freshened up the place for sure. Its s shame that staff shortages are hurting everyone but those working were hustling as hard as they could. I just had to take these pics to make a review. Give it a try – great food and great prices, friendly staff as well. I meant to leave this review earlier but just remembered today thinking about a cold custard to ward off this heat !!!

I’ve never stopped in to a restaurant for a bite and had EVERYONE smile and act pleasantly before. I mean EVERYONE. The customer service is so good, and the wait staff so up beat, that you can’t help but enjoy yourself! This was a great little stop on our out of town adventures. We’ve already recommended it to friends and family.

the atmosphere was truly amazing!!! gave you a look of an old school ice cream mobile diner!!! food was delightful!! i had the moose which consisted of a chicken, bacon and ranch sub and cheesy tot and my beau had a shrimp po boy and chilli cheese tots. food and the freshly squeezed lemonade was everything!!! i also would like to add that our server landin* or landen* was wonderful…exceptional customer service throughout our visit!! i’ll definitely will be back for the next round!

Great. Gotta give props to hwy55 burgers. Beefy burgers with fresh taste. Chicken sandwiches also. And yummy ice cream. I like the retro flair and lively staff. I’ve been to this store many times and it was always good.

Name has changed to Dillinger’s Diner. Amazing food today and service! Started with the tater tot/nachos then the Chicken snitch which I ended up boxing up more than half to take home for dinner because I was determined to have strawberry shortcake with ice cream. Will definitely go back again!!

Service was very good, but my burger was crispy black. Fortunately, my husband’s tator tots were good. The restaurant looked great. Pleasetalk tp the young cooks about how important their job is to your business.
