The staff was very friendly. However, the food was very lackluster. My wife and I both ordered some sandwiches to go. When we got home to enjoy the food (10 mins), the bread was practically falling apart. McDonalds has better quality food in our opinion.

Food was very low quality. Ordered a lemonade and had to ask the nice cashier/waitress (she seemed to be doing it all) if i could please have a different drink. i felt bad asking since it was busy, but the lemonade tasted like either the machine hasn’t been cleaned in a VERY long time or the mixture was very off. Will not be coming back, very disappointed and just glad I didn’t spend too much money at least /: Threw out the food due to the poor quality. The cheese fries were overwhelming smothered in plastic tasting american cheese, and my burger was literally smashed sown. the possible lack of sanitation from the lemonade also just didn’t sit right with me. obviously some management, cleanliness, and quality control issues going on at this location. sorry.

My family and I ate here yesterday for dinner and I was a little worried about the place because there wasn’t too many people in the place when we arrived, but it filled up as we were there. We are from Texas and we are staying on the island and we wanted something the whole family could eat and we were not disappointed! The fries and tots were delicious and the burgers were sooooo good! So if you are from out of town and looking for a solid place to eat then choose this place!

Most HWY 55 places around the East are amazing, the one in Hickory , NC is fantastic, however this one in emerald isle has some issues, the food and ice cream is more lack luster compared to any normal Hwy 55 or any other restaurant in the Emerald Isle . The service here is not good and the overall experience is just okay at best.

First time dining there, staff was friendly and welcoming. Ordered the pepper jack chessesteak (1/2). It was delivered hot and tasty with ample French fries for two people. I will return next time for their ice cream / shakes !

Only 4*s on atmospher because the place could use a little updating… Always good food tho. And wonderful staff. We eat here 2 or 3 times a month. Last time (maybe a week or so ago) there were only 2 employees on, not too busy when we arrived, a few tables. After being seated for a few minutes they had not 1, not 2 lol but 3 tables of 5-7 ppl each walk in within 10 minutes of each other. Do-able for a full staff, But for 1 cook and 1 server, it could’ve sucked lol not only was the server guy friendly and welcoming (and continued to be) but he took the time to move tables and chairs together for the larger party while he was also answering menu questions, refilling drinks, running food, answering the phone and ringing ppl out lol all while the girl in the kitchen knocked out every order by herself, in a timely manner, with a smile on her face. We waited no longer than normal and the food was still awesome!

We kept debating eating here as we are on vacation and we can get a burger at home anytime well we gave it a try burgers are so good, my husband got the jalapeño steak and cheese and he said it was very good and flavorful one of the best steak and cheese he has had. The employees all greeted us as we walked in very nice team. We really enjoyed it.
