Wife and I went to the hwy 501 location on Friday 7/27. There were 3 tables occupied including ours, and 6 employees working. Waitress finally came over after about 5 minutes to give us our menus, but seemed like she was bothered that we were there. Once our food got to the table the orders were mixed up. Wife did not get a fork to eat with. After several minutes of trying to flag the waitress down she ended up getting up to go get it herself. “Tots” were actually a pile of loose potatoes bits that were still mostly cold (except for the 3 intact ones that were burnt black). Dining room was hot and dingy looking. All in all, the food, service, and atmosphere were all terrible, I honestly cant name 1 redeeming quality about our visit. Very surprising since I regularly eat at other Hwy 55 locations around the beach and have never had a bad experience. Definitely will not be back to this location.

Service at this location, next to Coastal Carolina University, was mediocre. The servers appeared to be college students. Our initial server was not attentive at all – my wife has food allergies and these were not noted on the order, so her food came out with the items she requested not to have on her order. I ordered a shake with my meal but it did not arrive. The second server took over our table and was more attentive in attempting to fix the issues we were having.

Horrible Service. The staff looked extremely lazy. It took about a good 10 minutes before a waitress even came to the table. The restaurant wasn’t busy, waitress just looking through her tickets pretending that we weren’t seated. Finally took drink order and food order and waited 10 minutes no drinks at the table. However, I could see food was almost done cooking, but still no drinks. I just walked out. A server should know without experience that drinks come out to the customer right away. But she was too busy just standing their doing absolutely nothing. Never coming back. Food mediocre anyway. However, I see why the place is slow. Keep giving poor service; people will just eventually stop coming.

Food is tasty at a low price. Decorations are own point. Makes you feel like you might have gone back in time. But the service is so slow! They had 3 tables and about 6 people working. We went in an hour before we had to leave for our movie, ended up taking our food to go and missed the movie.hobestly, the foods not worth the wait.

I called at 11:45 am to inform the staff I will arrive at 12:25pm to place orders for myself and six colleagues. I also asked if this was a task they could handle within a one hour lunch break. I was told on the phone “yes that will be no problem.” I arrived promptly at 12:24 along with one of my colleagues to place the orders,in hopes the food would be plated by the time the rest of the team arrived. Well needless to say orders were not correct and had to be sent back and I received my food at 1:25pm!!!!! One hour after placing my order. My position in the restaurant I could see such disgruntlement on the cook’s face as we sat and waited,he repeatedly prepared orders after ours when we would ask the server to correct some of the orders. This was an unforgettable experience and I have dined in several of the area HWY 55s in my area but this today was horrible. I had to return to work without eating my lunch after sitting and waiting for a hour. What’s even worse I suggested we go out to lunch and said “it feels like a HWY 55 day.” Not!

My wife and I went to the Conway location, took for ever to get waited on, finally after 10 minutes the waitress looked over our way and said she would be right over. Can’t blame her it was only her second day working there. The manager was doing nothing that I could see until 2 gentleman came in after us she went right to there table went to the grill cooked there food and then sat with them. When my wife went up to pay they had to go outside to get her to open the cash register it took 5 minutes to get out of her car to come back into the store. She was constantly wiping the sweat from her face with her hand without wash her hands before touch food. The only good part was the food that another cook did.

Went for ice cream with family, I ordered a hot fudge sundae and it was very good. Staff was attentive to us, and gave us excellent service. Only thing I would of changed is that You get more whipped cream than 2 spoonfuls for a sundae.
