I decided to give this place a first try on the way home and I got a togo order. Shrimp burger was ice cold. Shrimp smelled and tasted bad (smelly fishy) and it was just cold old shrimp and a bun. Onion rings were cold and overcooked. No sauces at all given with order despite ordering and paying for multiple extra ones. The cheesesteak was hot but not so good. The meat and veggies were completely burnt. The burger was mediocre at best. Not sure what happened there tonight but if it were not for hungry kids at home I would have brought all the food back and asked for a refund. First and last time going here.

Our server was Jake. Jake was very good, attentive, had great manners, respect, and tended to all our needs. He stayed busy the whole time my family was there doing prep work and tending to his customers. Thank you Jake for making our dining experience an enjoyable one and showing us you cared about our needs! Good workmanship! New manager is doing a great job! Really changing this place around. We had to wait an hour for our order. The servers and the back line employees were moving at a snail’s pace. Were they cooking the burgers one a time or what? There were only 8 customers in the entire place (including us). When we finally did get our order, the food was mediocre. One of the servers dropped some trash on the floor when cleaning a table and just left it there. Next time, I’ll go to McDonald’s. It’ll be faster and better.

I have seen Hwy 55 restaurants before but have never been to one. Stopped in today and I was surprised to see the Carolina classic burger. Me being from North Carolina I know what a Carolina Burger is suppose to taste like. And all I can say is you nailed it!!! I even kicked mine up a notch and made it a double with bacon!!! And that really gave me a taste of home!!! Great job all around with the food and the service was excellent!!! I will definitely be back thank you!!!

I’ve been looking forward to trying this place for the last 9-12 months. Stopped in today right when they opened. Walked in about 11:05; all the chairs were still flipped up, one employee at the counter on a laptop and one other walking around. Nobody greeted me until I asked if they were actually open. Not a very welcoming first impression. Had a chicken cheesesteak and tots. Everything was hot, but overall, it was just average food. Service was okay, not great but not bad.
