Had lunch there today. Before we ordered I noticed one the cooks had a very bushy beard. NO BEARD PROTECTOR ! there’s a good chance that someone is going to get a side order of hair with their burger. Yuck. Our waitress was very friendly and kept checking to see if we needed anything. She wore a big pink bow in her hair. The waitresses all had their hair “contained ” why neglectful with the beard ? Next time, I’ll peep in the door to check for Mr Beard before I go in.

I have been a loyal customer since 1991. My last visit there didn’t turn out as expected. When I questioned why I was being charged 59 cents for extra mustard, she explained that the manager has them do that. So I replied nicely pointing out that I had the mayo, pickles and tomato taken off of the burger since I don’t like any of those things and just asked for extra mustard. I asked if the 59 cents charge sounded fair. She replied I know, it doesn’t sound fair but our manager makes us charge for it. My wife and I will never eat at another Highway 55.

Everyone who works here is excellent. We had a great experience and this was only my 3rd meal I’ve had since being in NC. The food was really good, and I love how the restaurant was decorated. Customer service is A+ here, and someone even paid for our meal, we even got cards to get a free meal next time we are in, and they held the door open for us as we left as a thank you to my husbands service. We were so caught off guard because that’s never happened to us before, especially where we are from. Thank you to this place for being so kind to a military family who’s in the middle of a very stressful move. You don’t realize how much of an impact you had on us.

This place is fantastic! Being im not from here, i decided on the Carolina Burger with a salad. What a good choice. My burger was deeeeeliscious. Side salad was surprisingly fresh and hit the spot. Great job team.

Good food, serer didn’t repeat order so we ended up with 2 adult meals for 2 kids (a 3 ear old obviously would not be getting an adult meal), but we’ll just be sure to have our order repeated in the future.
