Had lunch here at HWY 66 Diner today and ordered Fried Green Beans and Beef Short Rib & Smoked Gouda Melt – with Caramelized Onions on Grilled Sourdough Bread. The fried green beans were spicy good (like they used either ground up Cheddar Jalapeño Cheetos or Flaming Hot Cheetos as a dredge.) The sandwich of buttered and grilled sourdough bread was stuffed full of short rib meat, onions and cheese — half a sandwich was plenty for me. The “Motley Fries” were good too. Our waitress, “Gail F,” was a delight!

We didn’t think much of this little diner at first. It has great decorations, memorabilia, and furniture to make it seem as a legitimate 1950’s diner. We were impressed once we were seated. There were so many good food options to choose from. The portion sizes are reasonable to the prices listed. It all tasted amazing. I can’t wait to come back and try the other selections they offer.

Let’s start by saying the first waitress I got, needed to be asked three times for creamer for my coffee, then apparently she was replaced with another she was on point and very nice! As for the food absolutely terrible the woman couldn’t even take an order correctly, I ordered an omelette home fries toast and bacon didn’t get the bacon toast was just bread with butter there’s a reason why they call it toast guys The Omelette was disgusting well done, cheese was a melting and as for the filling I’ve never seen anything quite so wrong tiny tiny tiny pieces of ham and I couldn’t find the rest of the stuff home fries guys I don’t know what you guys call home fries but deep fried potatoes are not it! And last but not least who does al cart breakfast

Cute diner inside of the Hard Rock in Tulsa. It is decorated like a quintessential movie diner from the 50’s. Black and white tile and license plates on the ceiling. They took the theme of Route 66 into the restaurant. The fried fish was good but the fries were cold. But the fry medley was a nice touch. The Cesar salad with grilled shrimp was good, if a little too much dressing. Service was ok, they were a little busy and so it was not overly attentive.

Good food and the vintage diner experience makes this a great place to eat. Our group ate here Saturday night and from what we all ordered, they are very generous with their portions. I wasn’t very hungry so I ordered the sundae which reminded me of a banana split but without the banana and it tasted great.

Order three meal to go and by the time I got home several items were missing. Because I was busy I didn’t have time to call them back at the same day and they wouldn’t honor to refund or replace the meal. I think it would be much better if they would’ve pay attention in the first place.

My party of 2 ate breakfast there yesterday around 9 AM. The wait staff seemed inexperienced and not attention to service.
