Used to live in the Northgate area between 02/2016 – 02/2018; even back then I didn’t think much of this “restaurant” spot. I just went there for the first time since I left rochmn on 12/24/22… This Market Grille “restaurant” spot seems even more makeshift than it did back then. Back then I referred to it as more of a cafe than a full fledged restaurant. Every Hy-vee store varies as to the amenities… This Barlow location used to have that daycare at the main entrance/exit doorways in that front corner between the 2. i had been to the other 3 locations in rochmn and the only 1 that had a full service restaurant was the newest one on West Circle Dr…. this location doesn’t even have a kitchen or dishwashing area… everything has to be carried in/out of the designated dining area to/from the hot/cold ready department. That just seems unsanitary to me. I had heard this location was to become a Walburgers too which seems like that fell through (not surprised considering how small the space is & how much of a ripoff that chain is in comparison to Hy-vee Market Grilles). There was only 1 employee working with 5 customers inside, 1 of the tv’s watching the Viking game connection constantly going out 1-2 times every 30 seconds that lasted for 1-2 seconds…. just got really annoying.

We got food from the deli. I got Chinese and husband got pizza. All was good. Came to $9. Whatttt …2 people for $9 and it was good. We ate it in the Marketside grill. Food being g served there look great

Nestled inside the Hy-Vee Market, this very friendly and accomodating grill offers breakfast, lunch and dinner along with a selection of beverages. After a couple of visits, you feel like a regular when they greet you by name. Always a wonderful place for an awesome breakfast!
