I love the food but didn’t give it 5 stars because I heard that tips aren’t given to servers but rather used to pay their $80 a day salary. I don’t know if it’s true but if I give a tip expecting it to go to the servers I think I’m being taken for a fool if it’s not. If this is true it’s a bit disingenuous of the owner and I certainly don’t appreciate it. When the restaurant first opened the Spring Rolls were much larger but they are still good. I love the Spring Rolls. The service and food is worth the long wait. I love the food. I’m just a bit sad about the tip issue because my family has been going there for thirty years now and we were always under the impression the servers got the tip. I don’t mind the way the owner wants to handle her finances but honestly I feel it should be noted that tips go to the house, if in fact that’s the way it is. I probably won’t go again until I get some kind of info on how to handle a tab where the tip goes to the house just in case.

I’m Vietnamese and I just moved to Miami from NY and sitting in this Buddha forsaken restaurant hoping to have some sort of taste of home but I was sadly mistaken. How can you mess up Spring rolls when you claim authentic Vietnamese food?!? My girlfriend is Cuban and even she knows what good spring rolls taste like. The place is also over priced for little food you get. If you want some Vietnamese food that is better than here try 3 Chefs at Brickell. Best in Miami so far.

The reason this place gets great reviews on the food is because by the time you actually get it (1 hr and 45 min later) you are so hungry that anything will taste great! Not worth the wait! You’ve been warned. The staff avoids eye contact with the customers, they ignore each other, and it’s a miracle if they remember that you are even there. I had the pumpkin soup which was water with a few strands of pumpkin and some caramelized onion. It tasted nothing like pumpkin. The egg rolls were extremely small and greasy. The roast duck and shrimp with rice pasta were ok….nothing to wait 2 hours for . Im sitting here waiting for the check that i asked for 15 min ago….i dont understand why there are people waiting outside to come in. Go to Saigon Bistro which is where I usually go! Its 3 min from this place and SOooOoooOoo much better!!!!!

Small place with odd hours but the food is so delicious. We had the spicy ribs (so spicy and in a wonderful beef broth and rice) Spring rolls(perfectly crunchy) hearty soup (beef pho, was to die for) beef sauté with noodles, amazing ) followed by Vietnamese coffee (to good) I doubt there is anything that isn’t delicious. We loved it.

I didn’t get to eat here either dine in or take out. We were hungry n tire so we picked this place for its authentic vietnamese restaurant name. I called ahead asking if the have pho. The staff answering the phone didn’t speak vietnamese so i instantly recognized like others vietnamese restaurant that it may be name in vietnamese but no one speaks the language. The person on the phone saud they have pho n other vietnamese food.

The previous reviews were right…long wait for sure. I was hoping to have to good authentic Viet food (I’m Viet myself) but found out I cooked better at home. There was only one little old lady (whom i might say “got down” but poor thing) cooking, however, there was no “love” in the food. Things were a bit over price for Viet food but I guess I can understand why. Not a lot of ppl, especially in Miami (little Cuba) know what really good authentic Vietnamese food is so whatever. I, personally, would not go back. I did find another Vietnamese place with better prices, food, and hella faster service off 163rd (16752 North Miami Avenue, North Miami Bch, FL 33169). That one is waaaaaaayyyyy better than this place. It’s as close to Cali Asian food as I can get. Not bad!

Best Vietnamese in a town with no Vietnamese. Always fresh ingredients in all the menu items. Need to be looking for it or you’ll drive right by. And remember to find the waiters notepad or you’ll be standing for awhile.

Excellent food. Get a group of 5 or more to get a reservation. Beef with fresh rice noodles, chicken in pastry, pork rolling cakes, spring rolls, fish in mango are awesome.

I had heard about this restaurant for a while now and finally went tonight. The food was AMAZING and i can’t wait to go back. The servers were very friendly and efficient. Too bad they are only open for dinner.
