Everything here is absolutely amazing! We shared plates so tasted it all and every last bit was awesome. The macaroni salad and the mac and cheese were perfectly cooked. So many places overcook the pasta and you end up with mush. Not here! The BBQ ribs and chicken, both mac sides, baked beans, cornbread (not too sweet), honey butter biscuits, and fries all made with lots of love. Also the owner is one of the kindest, most genuine people around and goes out of his way to ensure you have a great experience.

Very tasty meatloaf, brisket, potato salad and honey biscuits. Very welcoming family that owns it…made us feel like part of the family. Great end to our weekend heading back to NC from a trip to Roanoke. If you have a chance to stop in for lunch or dinner…do it! You’ll be very pleasantly surprised at the care Joe and his family put into serving a great meal.

One of the best place’s in the area. The owner and his coworker seem like a great guys, very friendly. Type of person you feel good in supporting. I wanted to break my rule and rate it after the first trip. Some place slack on their sides. The sides I have had, you can tell they put in the same effort in them as they do the meats. I really can’t recommend 1 thing because what I have had has been so good I keep wanting to try new things. If you are driving down 220 bypass it is not that far off the exit and worth it. You may have to eat it in your car if travelling but not a bad parking lot to sit. The worst is getting some to take home to eat it. It smells so good makes you just want to pull over and eat it. Just call and make sure they are open! He might be set up and an event somewhere

If you love Fried Fish and Collard Greens, Cornbread and Pinto Beans. This is for you. The cake is delicious and honestly the cornbread is melt in your mouth. I’ll be a repeat customer and I live out of town. Sweetest Owners and I felt simply blessed to eat their food. Very obvious they put alot of love and care into their plates. The atmosphere is best described as a place time hasn’t touched where you can feel at home, down to the Elvis paneling. ♡

Absolutely delightful!.. tried brisket and chicken. The brisket is not lean but was amazingly flavorful! The chicken was messy but the flavor again is amazing! Does bbq right! Also loved the corn bread, baked beans, fries and mac and cheese. Will recommend to my friends and family

I’ve been coming here for a few years now, and the quality of the food remains extremely high. The restaurant isn’t much to look at from outside, but generous portions and the best home cooked flavor I’ve found outside of a home keep me and my family coming back again and again. Joe does a wonderful job with every meat he offers, from pigs feet to ribs to brisket, and the sides are amongst the best I’ve ever had at a barbecue restaurant. This isn’t a barbecue joint where you have ten sauces to flavor bland meat, everything comes out tender and already sauced perfectly. The only negative is that sometimes you have to wait a few minute while he fixes your meal, but that’s what calling ahead is good for! Without a doubt some of the best food in Henry County. Oh, and the cake slices are all homemade.
