We have around two dozen different varieties of pizza ranging from Smoked Brisket and Tots to Spinach Feta Pesto. We have a team of food masterminds that showcase our new recipes in our weekly special slices and seasonal slices. At Ian’s Pizza on State we also work closely with local farmers and the farmers market to offer one of the best and unique salad stations around. Almost everything we offer is prepped fresh daily in store including several delicious salad dressings.

In town for a conference and Googled pizza joints in the downtown area and this spot is around the corner from the hotel. Pizza was good – the crust was just the way we like it. I ordered a Greek salad and was told that they didn’t have any cucumber so we substituted with broccoli. The salad was ok but the vinaigrette they gave us was not something I would’ve selected – it was very bitter. Would try a different kind of pizza next time and would steer clear of the salad.

I stopped in here after dropping offf an Uber rider from Milwaukee to Madison. I was pleasently surprised to find close parking. 1am, easy in, easy out. Line moves fast as they really hustle. I got my favorite pepperoni, mushroom slice to go. I ate it on my hour ride back home and it was delicious. Definitely worth stopping. 2 slices ran me $10 even, tax is included in price. I would get it again if I’m craving a slice while in Madison.

Went to Ian’s for the first time last night around 8:20 pm for a slice of pizza. 4-5 people in line said I could go ahead of them because they were deciding what to order, so I did. I get to the cashier and placed my order for a slice of pepperoni. Then I wait for my slice. Everything seems normal, right? Apparently not. As I was waiting a Manager/Owner? asked me what I was waiting for and who served me. I said I placed my order with the cashier lady. He rudely informs me that is not how it is done and he walks away, telling me next time not to do that. How the hell am I supposed to know that? It’s normal to order food from the cashier. Maybe your establishment should inform people how they are supposed to order for your average-at-best pizza, as opposed to chastising them for their order.

Nice pizza spot in the heart of Madison. The portions are generous, and while the menu is small, the options are expertly prepared. The crust in particular deserves a shout-out. The alternative pizza options are excellent… I especially liked the kale-feta option. Highly recommended.

I really like this place because of the clean atmosphere and friendly staff. I like that they provide water cups and clean restrooms. Also, a slice of specialty pizza is 5 dollars. I like that they have weekly specials. Also, they provide BBQ sauce, hot sauce, red pepper flakes and grated parmesan cheese. I like that they are open late at night. Sometimes at night, it gets really crowded inside. They do offer boxes for take out and outside dining
