Ordered the Genfo & all I have to say is A M A Z I N G. I have never seen this dish on a menu around the Atlanta area and when I say 10/10 I mean 100/100. Service was so friendly and I tried to devour the food within minutes before feeling full and had plenty to eat the next day & to share!! If you’re looking for amazing Ethiopian cuisine, look no further, this place is AWESOME!! Parking is not a problem and I was transported back in time to childhood with every bite.

Came to Anthony’s Pizza and Pasta and was pleasantly surprised to find they also served Ethiopian food??? Had to come back to try it and was SO happy. I got the vegetarian version of the firfir with a side of eggs, and it was AMAZING. The owners were so happy to share the food they make and it was a very wholesome experience!! Will be back soon!!!

Ibex has wonderful Ethiopian food. The catfish was wonderfully prepared, with a great sauce our entire family loved. The Doro Wat(chicken stew) had a wonderful smoky and spicy taste.

Italian and Ethiopian? Yep! While our group was going for Ethiopian specifically, they do have an Italian/American menu as well. Our food was fantastic and it was a real pleasure to meet the family who owns and runs the restaurant. The daughter was so incredibly helpful with menu suggestions and we enjoyed meeting the mother and father who run the kitchen. All 3 of them checked in on us multiple times to make sure we were enjoying our food and were so kind to bring us samples of their house made honey wine and coffee(the mother grows and roasts the beans herself)! The atmosphere itself is a work in progress for the family, but look past that – the food and family more than make up for it!

What this restaurant lacks in fancy decor and ambience, it more than makes up for in the quality of the authentic Ethiopian food and the friendly service. The family that’s running the place is eager to delight, and they brought out samples of their homemade honey wine and the delicious coffee that they grow and roast themselves. We all really liked our dishes – good suggestions from the daughter of the family kept our spice levels right. They even make their own cottage cheese to cool the palate after a particularly spicy bite. If you already frequent the DeKalb Farmers Market, you should stop for a meal at this neighboring business. I’ll be back.

Ibex makes the best Ethiopian food. We had the shiro, the doro wat, and the veggie combo, and we couldn’t have been happier. The layers of flavors in the doro wat evolve after each bite and stay so beautiful. The texture of the shiro was unlike anything I’ve had before. I can’t wait to go back, and I can’t recommend Ibex enough.
