Ice house is a family owned restaurant that has been a staple in Southwest Iowa for the past 40 years. Our goal has always been to be THE place in town to get together with family and friends over food and drinks. We think that is what makes all the difference and is what created the family like atmosphere we have all come to know and love at the Ice House. Thank you Clarinda Iowa for 40 great years. Best food and drink option in the area for quite a distance. Server seemed very confused when we ordered…like we were speaking another language. But she was very sweet and attentive. My sirloin was well cooked (medium rare).

We have never had a bad experience here. The food has always been good and hot. The servers are a little quiet. It can get very busy very fast. So, plan for a wait to be seated. The menu has something for everyone, even my picky eaters like eating here.

Excellent service and food! We had jalapeño poppers, which were nice and crispy and had just the right spice. Also, chicken fried steak with mashed potato and gravy and green beans. Had plenty left over to take home.

Beer cheddar soup was delicious. Needed more beer flavor. The side salad was just ok. I felt like it was just thrown together. At least make it a little special. The cheese curds were yummy. Didn’t get to try anything else. I’m sure it’s all good hubby had the Cowboy burger, he ate it all.

Friendly servers. The kitchen lost our order, other tables were served and leaving while we waited … We were there for 1 1/2 hours. Very disappointed in the quality of food. And that is way too long to wait. Would not recommend the place.

Ordered a nacho Supreme nd was told 15mins.. Went there waited another 10 mins even after pushing the call button then got my food and it was extremely cold.. Like it was just pulled out of the cooler… And didn’t even have all the stuff on it that it should. I didnt want sour cream or peppers which it didnt…. Thank God.. But it didnt have a few of the other normal things on it… Very disappointed in the service there… It has went down hill since mike isnt running it anymore…
