From the moment you walk in the door the air smells clean and the atmosphere is inviting. You are greeted with smiles and service that makes you feel a sense of familiarity. I love love love the environment that the owner Sonia is creating. Now let’s get to the reason I am also writing this post. Not only does she have some of the best ice cream flavors but the foooood!!!! I had the pleasure of trying a taco during its initial opening and the flavor of the meat was amazing!!! 1 year later I finally got my hands on a chili dog. Now I had a slaw dog as well but I ate that so fast it didn’t get a chance to be in the photo. The all beef hot dog is placed on the softest hot dog bun and topped with the sweet heat chili sauce and gives a whole new taste to a chili dog. I doubt I will ever want a chili dog made any other way. There is only one place in Lexington, SC with the best chili dogs and that is Ice Cream Taco.

So, I was on my way home from an appointment and spotted the sign for IceCream Taco. They are right down the road from Target on 378 on the opposite side of the road. I zipped into the parking lot, and I’m sure the driver behind me surely didn’t appreciate that. I got a beef hard shell taco with lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream. The beef had great flavor-a hint of bar b q and spice. It was delicious! I finished off with a waffle cone with a scoop of coconut, vanilla and chocolate chip ice cream….so good. The owner is a lovely woman. She told me to next time try her hot dogs, as she has a very special way of cooking them. I sure will!!!!

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. What a phenomenal experience. The owner has experience as an educator, librarian, and working with the elderly. So patient with our little ones and knows how to make each customer feel welcomed and heard. No one feels rushed. You will not regret coming here!

Great chili dog and really good milkshake. Staff was great but service was a little slow. Took almost 20 minutes for 2 chilidogs and a shake, and we were only one there at the time. Chili was really great. Had a hint of sweetness that set it off.

The chili dogs were delicious and the banana pudding ice cream will have you drooling. The cherry on the top is the great customer service. The owner is nice and friendly, and Mimi is so sweet! It’s great to have a place like this close by.

Love this place! Always friendly and kind and the owner will fix up cute concoctions like this beautiful banana pudding waffle cone with wafers and mini chocolate chips. So glad to have a new ice cream shop nearby and will def be back.

We’ve drove past this place a few times and always said we needed to stop by and we went to the event last night and are very happy with our experience! It was crowded but they handled it so well, everyone was so kind! We will be back for sure!
