Good sushi but I asked for two rolls for take out and they messed one up. Got regular salmon roll when I asked for spicy salmon, that shouldn’t happen, especially when it isn’t busy. Other roll was good though.

I ordered combo #2 which includes The California roll, The spicy tuna crispy roll and The crispy shrimp roll. I also ordered a soft shell crab sushi burrito which was very great! And lastly I ordered sashimi, fresh octopus and salmon. If I can give this gem a 10 star rating I definitely would!

This is a great place that combines the idea of a quick bite to eat and quality sushi at a great price. I really enjoy their Sushi Burrito! The staff is friendly and appreciative, and the food is prepared fresh and quite quickly. It’s a safe bet for a tasty lunch break!

Nice little sushi place with the typical counter to sit, eat and watch the magic. Quality was excellant. Sushi was well sliced, trimmed and presented. The rolls were also tasty and well presented. The woman behind the counter was nice and very helpful. No alcohol but still, highly recommended.

My daughter and I went on vacation in this area. It’s not too far from the beach. We were looking for sushi places and found this on Yelp. They have a great selection of sushi. It’s all super fresh and tasty. It’s a small place so their seating is limited, but we never had a problem finding a seat. We came here three times while on vacation because we loved it so much. People usually order out. One time we order by phone and we just ate there.

The overall rating you see now for Ichiban was built with love by the previous owners who have likely since retired. Back when Osaka in the Hamilton Mall was good and especially back when Ichiban was first established five years ago- we had a wonderful gem in the area for amazing sushi. The new owners seem friendly enough but the quality of the food and preparation are nowhere near what you were able to find here. Sushi burritos have been continued but it lacks texture, garnish and flavor. Trying the spider roll, soft shell crab + salmon sushi burrito, everything just seemed less than half-baked and had a strong resemblance of garbled leftover fish. If all you’re craving is a California roll, they sell that here.

Not sure what people are talking about. Yes there is new owners and yes the prices are slightly higher but this sushi is way better than sushi town and what ichiban used to offer. The tuna and salmon were very fresh.
