My daughter insisted I leave a 5 star review for this location and I must agree. The service was fantastic. The food, delicious. The staff, super friendly. The hibachi chef made us laugh many times They even brought us a fruit platter just because our kids were being sweet.

It’s always a treat to eat at a hibachi restaurant. This was our first time at this location but we left with good impressions. Food was great, the performance was great. The chef was very kind and funny, and made the experience seem very professional and entertaining!

Do you five star rating for this restaurant night indicative of the food alone. I would probably read the food four. However, if you live in the Chattanooga Tennessee area, you’ll be well aware there’s not a lot of great hibachi around that being said, this restaurant is probably your best option. I prefer the one in hixson. The experience is pretty run-of-the-mill, but the environment is clean, and the lunch particularly is pretty affordable.

Food was just ok. Lettuce in salad was washed but too much water left in bowl diluted ginger dressing, soup was mostly flavored water. Service was ok. Server wasn’t very enthusiastic even after being told this place is where our 8 yr old grandson wanted to go for his birthday dinner. And unfortunately, one person in our party had a hair in her food that was clearly not hers. We’ll never go back.

cook was not happy from the moment he entered our table. We came in for a Birthday dinner for a 10 year old which chose there to eat instead of anywhere else and he barely said Happy birthday to her. He had a very bad attitude, no entertainment for her very upsetting. Not even a Birthday pineapple boat.

The California Tempura Roll and the steak and chicken fried rice are SO AMAZING! Ichiban has been my choice for my birthday lunch/dinner since I moved here in 2009 and ten years later they have yet to disappoint. Parking is usually not an issue because the parking lot is quite big, unless its dinner on the weekend. We made a reservation for party of 8 for 11:30 (when they open) so that we wouldn’t have a long wait time and we were seated right away. Eight people was perfect because we took up all the seats on our side so we had the whole half of the room to ourselves. I believe they have larger table to accommodate bigger parties but i have a small family. The restaurant is easy to find and is always clean and organized. The cook is always super nice and watching him cook is always super entertaining for my family and I, and we enjoy the show. I always get an order of sushi to share and it is delicious. This time I got the California Tempura and I got cream cheese added. It was amazing. By the time I finished that, the chicken and steak fried rice I ordered was ready. Juicy chicken and steak cooked perfect to medium rare, just as I had asked. Since tomorrow is my actual birthday, I didn’t bother telling the waiter. Usually if you say something to the staff, they will send a complementary fruit bowl to you the end of your meal with pineapple and cherries which is great. As usual, there was plenty to take home. I could get another 2 meals out of the leftovers! All in all, it was a great birthday dinner and I can’t wait to do it again next year!

This was my first time eating here and it was absolutely wonderful!! The man cooking put on a great show for us and was polite. Our waitress was attentive and kind. I ordered the Lunch Steak and Chicken with Fried Rice! It was delicious – meat was cooked perfectly!! Highly recommend.

This place has always been great. The food was wonderful and I love how it’s cooked in front of you. It was busy when I came but still didnt have to wait for a table for mor than 3 or 4 minutes. They recently went up on their prices a bit but it’s still worth the money.

I’m not sure what the bad reviews are all about. The food was very good and a LOT. They catered to our request of no mushrooms. The service was excellent. We walked in and were sat right away at 6 pm. The prices are comparable to many other hibatchi restaurants. The only thing I thought was expensive was the alcohol. Other than that, an overall exceptional dinner experience. Will return.
