The closest authentic Japanese experience you’ll find outside of Tokyo. The quality of the food is second to none. Nothing “fishy” here. Everything tastes fresh because it is. Hiro and team curate a seasonal menu with over a dozen courses. It’s not a quick service, but that’s the beauty of it. Because of the ambiance and service times, you’ll easily make friends with your neighbors and it’ll feel more like a dinner with 10 friends. I just went back for the second time and we had an even better time than our first experience. I can’t recommend this place enough. Congrats Hiroshi and team!

Michelin quality restaurant, best omakase I’ve had in San Diego (and I’ve been to quite a few, including ones with a Michelin star). I had the best time. The food quality was incredible, the service was perfection, everyone was so friendly and inviting. I am so happy post meal! Worth every penny. Hiro was so lovely and such an engaging and knowledgeable chef. If you love omakase, you’re in for a true delight.

I had an amazing time here for my mom’s birthday. We were seated at the bar in front of Chef Ichikawa – he was very welcoming and such a joy to converse with. The rest of the staff were so attentive – clearing our dishes right away for the next course and filling our sake glasses when empty.

Absolutely incredible restaurant with an intimate and transportational atmosphere. The fish quality is possibly the best I’ve ever had! Hiro does a great job walking you through each dish served of the Omakase experience. Service was on point; I was never left with an empty dish for long and my water glass never went empty.
