Not local to Lower Burrell but in the area for a funeral and was told by a friend to check out Ida’s. We split 4 meals between 4 of us. Everything was delicious and portions were huge. The restaurant itself was very quaint inside with a touch of Ida’s character throughout. Ida was a joy to talk to and quite a hoot. Thank you for some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had! Will definitely make the trip back sometime.

I love this place! We’ve stopped three times and have had three wonderful evenings. Ida’s sauce is delicious, the portions are huge, and the servers are sweet. BYOB means we can have our favorite wine. Will be back soon.

Ida’s is an experience in itself. The food is fantastic classic Italian food and plentiful. Everything is made in house, including a fantastic salad dressing. Ida herself is a larger than life character who makes the experience that much more fun. Glad to see her land on her feet after the fire in Arnold.

First time there, had spaghetti and meatballs. Wish they had eggplant or chicken parm. Food was like grandma used to make. Was not a fan of the house salad dressing and would have liked less sauce as it was swimming in it. The spaghetti was sauced which is how it should be, think Ida just needed to shake them more before plating. The place is beautiful on the inside. Waitress was outstanding. A little swearing in the kitchen so music or a TV in the dining room would help drown it out

Very good Italian food. Ida has been around quite a while and is still the same. Family of 4 had spaghetti, gnocchi, ravioli and the chicken parmesan special. Huge portions. Salad was fresh. Homemade buns were delicious. My 12 year old said it was the best spaghetti he has ever had. All the food is delicious top notch home made Italian food.

Ida’s food is traditional Italian food at it’s best, she serves a simple salad and then knocks your socks off with the main course. If you feel the need to complain about the salad, then you missed the point completely. She allows you to BYO and shares, when she can in your enjoyment of her establishment. My wife’s family is very Italian and they adore her food!!

I’m very surprised to see the negative reviews. Ida works very hard and her food has always been excellent. She’s charging accordingly based on cost of food, labor, rent, etc. At times you can get a bad server anywhere so just adjust your tip accordingly. It’s very difficult to find good help anywhere. Ida is no spring chicken and she works her butt off.

This quaint restaurant is amazing. The atmosphere is soothing the Italian food is delicious to say the least. There is a standard fair of Italian dishes plus there are daily specials. And then there’s Ida the owner and cook, who is as charming as she is talented.

My first time here… Small, Independent Italian restaurant with a nice atmosphere… Daily Specials… The food was very good… Soups & Salads were very large portions… Great Service… Cash Only payments, which I wasn’t crazy about, but besides that, a great place to eat!
