Highly recommend their desserts and coffee! We had the flourless chocolate cake, homemade by the owner. It was perfect — so velvety and rich without being too sweet. The owners are a sweet husband and wife duo who clearly love what they’re doing.

I went into my favorite coffee shop looking for a gift for my coworkers and found the perfect thing. Not only did I get my gift and a great latte- I also got to try some new tea and had a wonderful conversation with the owner. I’ve lived in a few states and this coffee shop is one of my favorites. They have great lattes (regular and decaf). Their tea selection is unmatched! It’s amazing quality and great taste. It’s also one of the first places I found that I could go to get snacks and delicious treats after I had to go gluten free. Their dessert case is amazing to just look at- and the desserts are delicious. My husband eats the non-gluten free ones and loves them! Highly recommend if you’re looking for your new local coffee shop!

I appreciate the outdoor plants and all the seating options. I think I’m kicking the coffee habit because of a medical condition I have. I thought I’d go in for the baked goods. They’re ok but not really amazing. I love that they offer all their sandwiches gluten free if we need that. The location is great for me. I Just think I’ve got tastier homemade options I can throw together or whatever. For gluten free they’re not bad but if you are able to plan ahead or if it’s my kitchen vs the selections here it’s not a slam dunk that it’s worth the price or the effort for the baked goods alone.

The first few times I came here, it had such a wonderful vibe. Crisp, clean, unhurried feel. I felt like I could think. And they had my favorite green jasmine loose tea. Unfortunately, the last couple of times I’ve been, the environment has felt very chaotic and loud, and they have discontinued the green jasmine tea. So I had a frowny face when I left and not sure when or if I’ll go back. Honestly, I think part of the problem is it’s a small space and it’s become very popular. The staff seems completely overwhelmed. So I’ll wait a few weeks and maybe try it one more time. Hopefully, they’ll have my tea back on the menu. My husband and I like doing tea for 2. We were told the last time that this is no longer offered. I can’t imagine why. If serving a certain tea in a certain way makes the customer feel special, why not? Basically, it’s a great place. Give it a try!

I ordered the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Coffee Cheesecake. Spent ~$14 including tip. The Vietnamese iced coffee was strong and sweet as it’s supposed to be but my drink had bits of coffee grounds in it. The texture of coffee cheesecake completely threw me off. The “cheesecake” had the texture of a marshmallow. I personally don’t prefer marshmallows.

I’ve been a huge fan of this place for a while, but in the last few months things have felt so off–I feel bad leaving this review because of how great it was formerly but I can no longer recommend it. The staff are always friendly but I feel like all the baristas that used to work there are just gone now? The coffee has unfortunately suffered from that, and I used to enjoy talking with some of the baristas/roasters about their interesting selection, and it’s like that knowledge is just…gone. nothing against the newbies but it’s a blow. The desserts are nice (still very in love with the donuts) but I don’t go out to a coffee shop for sweets usually. Overall it feels cookie cutter now instead of a little hidden gem.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a place like Idle Hour. It’s a modern and sleek cafe with a fantastic menu. I’ve now been twice trying a variety of their menu options.

We were really excited to try their coffee and food but I was disappointed with the quality I received. I got The G.O.A.T and I would say this half piece of bread is not worth the $8 I payed. I was also disappointed that there was only 1 alternative milk option.
