Nothing like coffee and Oreo milkshake to start a Saturday morning. Great atmosphere and service. Food was okay I just feel ihop has really changed its menu and it’s not the same as it use to. Pretty disappointed in the chicken and waffles plate I had to send back.

It was our first time here. We tried their all-you-can-it butter pancakes (I think this promotion will gone soon). The pancakes were with maple syrup and salty butter on the side. With maple syrup it was actually nice but I’m not sure if we will return to this place again. Just because it’s not something you want to eat quite often. It’s not a bad place. The actual cafe is nice. There were plenty of seats. And not a lot of people.

Stopped by late at night to try the new Minion Menu and was pleasantly surprised. We were warmly greeted by our server and the dining room was very clean. Food came out quickly and tasted great. The Minion menu did not disappoint! Been here a couple of other times and the experience has been very similar. Chill spot for breakfast at any time of the day.

I’m not a fan of the atmosphere it’s very loud and overcrowded, you can hear everything from the kitchen. The staff are not very communicative. I hated the pancakes. I wanted to give this place another shot after 7 years and its gotten worse. IHOP is not a good restaurant. McDonald’s have better pancakes. You pay the same in a small breakfast joint with good quality food.

Ever since the Buffalo Grove IHOP closed it doors, we’ve been coming to this location. Decent service. Love the crepes, omelettes and the usual pancakes, waffles & coffee. This time around (or maybe I just noticed it this time) loved these wall decors – especially the one that said “We encourage reaching across the table” caught my eye.

They have a great $5 menu from 2 to 10pm. When you want to eat out and not spend a lot it is a great option. Cheese burger fries. Chicken and pancakes. BLT! Here at the Vernon hills location the service and food preparation are excellent!!
