Attempted to get a cup of water which was told company policy did not allow this because it was not one of their cups. Was not offered any alternative and repeated several times people had been stealing drinks. Well turn the soda machine around then and offer cups of water in a city that has 108 degree days. Lost a customer for life. Go Nextdoor to Panda Express they have water cups. Ended up eating at Charlie’s with a much better experience.

What a wonderful funky little sandwich shop. First thing first, the staff was incredible. They were warm and inviting and answered all our question. Plus very patient since it was our first time. The CSR was amazing with helping us through the menu. It was a bit overwhelming but really cool with lots of fun choices.

Ike’s Dutch Crunch bread is the best! I also love their dirty sauce. I discovered Ike’s in the bay area before they were in Bakersfield, and am very glad they’re now close by. They’ll gladly customize, and offer many more sandwiches than listed on the menu. Tell them what you like, and they’ll make you happy. Their sandwiches never disappoint.
