Il Mattone is a hole-in-the-wall pizzeria on Beach Street. the tiny pizza shop has no seats—it’s basically a takeout and delivery joint. it’s a little messy inside but the interior is clean. there are small parks within walking distance if you want to eat al fresco and enjoy your ‘zza right away. il Mattone has a variety of pies and slices on display— their menu includes a variety of pasta and sandwiches, too.

I’m always finding great pizza places in Tribeca. This place is on the quieter side of the neighborhood. Great pizza with a lot of flavor and seasoning to it, but it had too much garlic. High quality cheese. It was the standard price for a slice ($3.00). They had a couple tables to eat but I just ate outside. Would recommend.

Ordered delivery via Slice. Pizza never arrived. Called the restaurant twice. Restaurant claimed order left with the doorman. Told them it wasn’t. They said “I doubt it” and then hung up. Refused to refund my money.
