The food here is AMAZING. Everything is hand made fresh – if you’ve never had fresh made pasta (and around here, that’s hard to find), you’ve got to go here and try it. The owner is so dedicated, he’s in the kitchen cooking every night and he brings a true native’s taste to the food. A one-of-a-kind meal at a locally owned establishment.

Visited for the first time with my girlfriend tonight. We were seated quickly and given water and menus. The environment was great, aesthetically pleasing and cozy. However after placing our order and receiving our house salads, things took a turn for the worse. We were given hard, cold bread along with our house salads that apparently only come with one option of dressing, raspberry vinigarette. The dressing was so sweet that it felt like we were having dessert before our dinner. After finally being able to get the waitress attention, we asked if we could get a different type of dressing and were told that was the only dressing they had and on top of that, there were absolutely no substitutions, per the head chef and owner. Disgusted at this horrible policy, I told the waitress to cancel our orders, after which she suddenly was able to offer us different dressing choices or substituting for a ceaser salad instead that we could SHARE. She wanted us to share a salad. When I questioned why we should need to share a salad she then offered us each a ceaser salad upgrade. The story on what they could and couldn’t do for customers unhappy with the supposedly only available option just kept changing and changing. Absolutely disgusted at the horrible service we received, we will never return and will warn everyone we know to stay away from this trap of a restraunt.

Just walked out from this restaurant… House salad was a raspberry dressing that could be served as a dessert. Wayyyyy too sweet for anyone’s liking. Plus, they serve store bought baguette that is cold to table. Didn’t even want to stay for the main course and cancelled my ordered.

Third visit this evening and it was a joy. The wait staff seems to have received some instruction. They were attentive and cordial with non of the problems described below. Highly recommend Il Tavolo. Again, the food was superb. Thanks.
