I’m a fan of Sashimi… And this was my go to spot while I was in Hoboken. Not just because they offered a phenomenal sampling of choice fish in the Sashimi Deluxe, but the second time I went, I hadn’t realized I had arrived after the kitchen had closed. They were INCREDIBLE, the chef wasn’t to far yet, they called him back in, which made me so unconfortable, but they all seemed genuinely happy to accommodate my late night craving of raw fish.

So delicious and clean tasting. I luv this place! I always get the fried rice or udon with vegetables in a stir fry teriyaki sauce and it is absolutely AMAZEBALLS!!! Things to note: call ahead, pay ahead, and parking is tough. It’s best to arrive on 4th St. and request curbside, if they’re not too busy to accommodate. Very nice staff, fast service, and packaged very well.

There are not a lot of sushi options in Hoboken but this one was probably the worst one I’ve been too. We came in at around 9 pm on a Saturday night and the place was empty. And I know you’re thinking it’s probably because it’s past prime dinner hours, but when we walked past its competitors around the same time (and even after), business was booming for them.

I thought I had found the best sushi in Hoboken, but I was sadly mistaken. The first couple times I had no real complaints – yes, there were flies hovering my table the entire time, but I thought the food was decent enough so I was able to look past it. The more I went however, the more I realized how the quality will fluctuate every time you’re there. Sometimes its decent, but tonight it was very low-tier.
