First time visiting In-N-Oit as an east coaster. Ordered a double-double and the first bite was enough to convince me how good In-N-Out is. By fast food standards the burger is one of the best I’ve had and definitely recommend their burgers. Their fries aren’t anything to write home about but are passable.

In N Out has been around for decades and decades. It’s competition in those days were burger King, and McDonalds. In N Out menu is simple and classic while other fast food has 15 different burgers choices. So for loyal fans, there is a sense of nostalgia and reminisce of the burgers of the three chains. For me, In N Out reminds me of California with my friends.

We finally made our way to an In-N-Out Burger. After previous attempts in Arizona, and here in LA, we finally found a location that was accessible by parking about a block away and walking to the joint. Like always, everywhere, the line of cars queued up for the drive through was probably 40+ winding through a parking lot and out to a public street. We made our way to the counter to place our order. Watching the crew work was impressive. At least 16 people working in unison to crank out order after order. All of them pleasant and professional. Seating was at a premium, but we scored a table to eat our meal. As for the food itself, I give the burger a 4.5/5, the fries only a 2.5/5, and the shake 4/5. While I appreciate that the fries start with on-site freshly sliced potatoes, they are generally undercooked for my taste, and our particular orders on this day were mostly stubs less than 1.5 inches in length. While I applaud the history, emphasis on fresh, and excellent customer service, the food won’t bring me back to the chaos involved in trying to eat at an In-N-Out again.

Usually good place to come to, parking lot layout isn’t great when drive thru line is long. Went end of the night on a Wednesday and burgers and animal fries had pieces of charred grill residue. I get it’s the end of the night but not fun to bite into.

Fast but a really busy location. If you come at night, expect the line of cars to wrap around the block! Fast and friendly service with freshly made burgers. Ask for the hot peppers which add a nice kick to your meal ️
