I love Indian food so it’s almost painful to give an Indian restaurant a bad review. But India Palace was pretty disappointing. The food was mediocre, the facility was dirty, especially the bathroom and the service was awful. There have to be better Indian places in Sacramento.

Biryani is basically rice flavored with turmeric. Only had 4 to 5 very small pieces of flavorless chicken. Chilli chicken looked nasty and had Only few peices of chicken with lots of vegetables. Lamb curry was bad too, The gravy tasted like palak paneer and had 4 small pieces of lamb which was super chewy. Tandoori lacked flavor as well, it was salt less and inside chicken didnt even have flavour, so it felt like we were eating boiled chicken. The only thing that didnt disappoint was naan and lassi. Also the server (lady) was not friendly at all, lack basic customer service skills. This was by far the worst indian food ive ever had in my life.

Used to be our favorite spot for Indian food. Super disappointed with service and food. Every table was dirty. We were not given any plates or utensils. When our pakora came out it was on a paper plate, undercooked and barely warm inside. We had to go ask for plates and utensils which were all paper and plastic. It’s so sad to see what used to be such a great restaurant serve such sad quality service and food.

No stars if I could. We have been coming here for years. But never again. I LOVE the flavors of Indian food but I cannot handle too much heat. (Yes, I am aware that the food is spicy) I have always ordered my food here with very little spice and it’s always been delicious. This time it was so spicy I couldn’t even enjoy it, only to be told that’s how it is. Also, we were given 2 bottles of water upon being seated. We figured maybe something was going on with their water and this is what they were doing for now. Never mentioned we would be charged for the bottles of water. I’m disappointed because that was our go to spot.

Online it states they have amazing vegan options. We went and they told us everything has butter and dairy. Very disappointed. The information needs updated so people don’t drive 45 mins for nothing.

First, if I had visited this place before ordering I never would have ordered. The place was dark and dirty looking. I ordered the Special combo plate $12. The shrimp pakoras were dry and chewy as if they were made much earlier in the day then heated up in the microwave? Whatever happened, they were not fried just for me. The chicken pakoras were less offensive, I guess because chicken doesn’t dry out as quickly when reheated in the microwave. The momos were hot and just made- for me- and were very flavorful.I do not eat Indian food as often as I’d like, so I’m not familiar with a lot of their food. I am very discouraged with their pakoras, so I likely won’t return any time soon. I gave 2 stars for the momos, I’ll return for them!

Do not come here. They serve old seafood and I got sick. They do not care about customers. I used to come all the time and now I will never come back. I called and they were not willing to make it right. I spent $70 and come all the time.

OMG!! First time coming here. The food was so tasty and yummy! Our waiter was outstanding. Very helpful and polite. Kaos was his name. Great vibe very clean place. We had a awesome experience. Will definitely be coming back here again.
