My family and I have been coming to Indian Kitchen since it’s opened and it’s safe to say— it’s my favorite restaurant in Mckinney! Now we’d never tried Indian food before, but I can tell you that this place is absolutely delicious and an amazing introduction to the world of Indian cuisine. Our favorite dishes include the butter chicken, chef’s chicken curry, dal tadka, and bombay chicken biryani. I adore the raita and garlic naan for sides as well. Out of this world flavor, freshness, quality, perfect portions and just the right amount of spice. Every time we come in, we’re greeted by the owner who is simply the sweetest man, prepared to make sure you have the best experience. You can tell he takes great pride in his business. His wife is the chef and she is simply amazing at what she does. It’s always spotless. The wall art is very beautiful! They’re always making improvements to the set up. Recently, they updated the menu to include helpful descriptions as well as vegan/allergen labels. Please be patient as it is a small family business and there’s usually only 2 people serving, but trust me it is worth a little wait! One of the best treats here that we’ve experienced was coming in on Mother’s Day to an exceptional tray of delights. It included a sampling of different more “home style” foods as the owner explained. Simply outstanding! I can’t wait until they bring it back. I implore you to support this amazing establishment, you’ll probably see us there!

Really excellent, deeply flavorful food in good-sized helpings. They gave us an appetizer called Masala Papad that I had never had before and it was awesome, and omg the mango lassi was perfect with the meal. Extremely friendly service, and the atmosphere is bright and clean but still has personality

Such a great experience! We came in for Father’s Day lunch with our four kids. On Sundays, the owners offer a vegetarian or meat-option for a set meal, not the regular menu. The owner consulted with us to see what our kids would enjoy, and then send out trays for each of us with a great assortment of foods. My husband had the meat option, and I had the vegetarian. There were five or 6 little samples of dishes with a couple of breads and chutneys/sauces. This was so fun, because we got to try new things we wouldn’t typically order. Everything was fantastic! The owner checked back with us several times to make sure we were enjoying everything and the kids had plenty of food. He explained that his wife is the chef, and every Sunday they try to change the dishes to feature traditional dishes from all around India. We can’t wait to go back and try more!
