Whoa…Indianapolis has a major contender for world class BBQ at Porkopolis. I popped in for a quick sandwich. As a trained chef and KCBS certified BBQ judge, I have eaten my share of great BBQ. I’d put this place against any in the area. The brisket was seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of smoke. It passed all of the tenderness tests without being overcooked. The hot BBQ sauce perfectly complemented the beef. The bun was premium, and perfectly toasted. The collard greens were real-deal fresh and tasted like your Granny made them. Highly recommend! ***Edit*** I liked this place so much I hired them to do a large event (200+ people). They absolutely handled it like Champs. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. Service was amazingly organized. The party was a huge success, and these guys were a big part of it. Can’t recommend them enough!

This place is sure not much to look at, it’s in a gas station, small, never crowded. But the people are super friendly, it’s clean and the food is far better than I expected. If you’re trying to watch your weight, nevermind. Cause this is ‘Down Home’ type cookin’. Grab a bunch of napkins and put on your comfy pants! And the Cheesecake in a cup was surprisingly good. Check it out!

My family and I came across Porkopolis by searching for food places near us. We live on the south side of Indianapolis and was at the South Side Flea market and when we left we looked for a place to eat. We decided to give Porkopolis a try. My wife is a BBQ enthusiast and her favorite is BBq nachos from Smokey Bones. Needless to say, when she realized Porkopolis didn’t have nachos and that it was something that used to be on the menu she was slightly disappointed. However we still decided to eat since we were all hungry and we were already there. The owners were very friendly and explained the menu perfectly. Once we got our food and dug in everyone at the table was quite, which rarely happens. With that being said, Porkopolis is Absolutely amazing! The Ribs (wet), the Brisket( juicy), the chicken, the Mac n cheese (creamy and delicious), the cornbread (sweet and salty), the baked beans and the dang cheesecake were all incredible! We highly recommend Porkopolis and we will definitely be repeat customers! Y’all go check em out!

Porkopolis catered our Kentucky Derby Party on Saturday night. What a great choice! Planning the event was a breeze with James, the owner. We had the full meal deal…brisket pulled pork and chicken, baked beans, coleslaw and Mac and cheese.

2-1/2 stars. Considering the name, not impressed. The food was tasty. The sauce was ok. I feel it is overpriced. Comparing quality, price, options and quantity, I will stick with Pull Up BBQ off Keystone just a couple miles away.

thrown off by being connected to a gas station, this is the best bbq i’ve had anywhere in indianpolis,ohio,kentucky. so good, delecious, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned & simple!, meat was so tender. got burnt ends & best brisket ever!

Ordered the lunch special wings and Beer. Definitely worth ordering for $12.00. Wife got the three meat (Turkey, brisket and ribs). We were satisfied. Sweet -N- Smokey sauce was very good. Only reason for not five stars was due to ordering a second order of ribs. Very friendly service. Would definitely recommend.

Don’t be discouraged by the location sharing a space with a gas station, as this is one of the better barbecue places I have had. Was a little disappointed by the lack of choice on different barbecue sauces (I like them spicy over sweet) but overall great choices, quality, and service.

Just showed up to place a really large order for an entire construction crew of 62 people and the place was empty on a Wednesday afternoon. The food looks good online but I think it may be a new yet abandoned establishment.
