Best Steaks in town, and priced right. Cold beer and wonderful cocktails and appetizers. We got the mini beef wellingtons for an appetizer and it was delicious. My wife got a delicious salmon sandwich and fresh salad. I had the 12 oz sirloin cooked perfectly medium-rare, and topped with caramelized onions. Highly recommend Chop House for any occasion.

My wife and I loved our meal at the Iowa Chop house. We stopped in Iowa City from out of town. Great Iowa Pork chop. Got it with the bacon butter. Wife got the Angus sliders and Mac and cheese. Had the triple chocolate cake for dessert. Walked in without a reservation. Service was excellent.

We ordered the buffalo burger, blue cheese crust filet mignon, garlic mashed potatoes, and cheese curds for an appetizer. Everything was absolutely incredible. The steak was cooked to perfection and had an amazing flavor. We highly recommend this for dinner. The beer barn is a really cool experience to try a bunch of different types of beer as well!

My first experience here because I am from out of town but if I ever visited I would go back. Sides are enough for 2 people and drinks are great. When it’s night time the outside is a great place to sit and enjoy the outside atmosphere.

My husband and I shared multiple items, we had a pork chop, a top sirloin with a blue cheese crust, hobo potatoes, creamed corn, asparagus and sautéed mushrooms. Everything was prepared perfectly. There is nothing but good things to say about this place. There was no wait to be seated. Our waters were refilled often, we ordered a chocolate cake to go. Highly recommend.

Great steakhouse in town. Really nice environment and the service was great. Pork chop was pretty good, although I should’ve got it cooked a little less through. Steaks are served a La carte, which I don’t usually look for, but tonight I was and it worked out perfect. Prices are too much either.

Wow, this place is overrated. I am overlooking the fact that I probably had the worst table in the restaurant, right next to the beer cooler where staff would go in and out and leave the door open. Starting with the cocktails, the Iowa Old Fashioned was pretty good but could have used some more bourbon. The Moscow Mule was on point. The meatballs were tasty and surprisingly spicy. Main course is where things were disappointing. The Steak Salad was greasy and steak was tough and was basically the ends of maybe a strip steak. The porterhouse was a huge disappointment. You get better quality at the local Hy-Vee (but I guess my expectations should have been lower as it was priced at $44). Mashed potatoes were good but portion was surprisingly small. I don’t recommend.
