By far my favorite Jamaican restaurant! Being a loyal customer of Island Quizine for numerous years, it was only right to patronize the new Bar & Grill! My husband and I have been coming here since it opened and we are always amazed at the level of service, the amazing food and awesome drinks! The decor and ambiance is spot on! First off I would like to say I’m proud of the owner and the staff. Owning a restaurant isn’t easy. The atmosphere is nice but the music was so loud I had to shout for my friend to hear me. They have great items on the menu but the recipes should be revamped. I started with the mussels. The pack from the grocery store has more flavor. I had the snapper and it was fried too hard. My friend addressed it with the waitress and they did everything possible to make sure we were happy before we left. That’s why I would like to try this place again in a few months. S/o to Wendy and Shanique. They didn’t cook the food but made every attempt to make up for the food.

The five star rating has to have been submitted by a company representative. Where shall I begin? I visited this restaurant for a birthday soirée. I ordered jerk wings which were rather flavorful; however, my lady friend ordered the IQ Pasta. The pasta was sub par at best. We were unable to determine if the chicken in the pasta was Tyson’s frozen pre-cooked or the store brand, because it most certainly was not cooked to order. There were three separate tables within this event, but we ordered first albeit the two tables that ordered 30 minutes after we’d placed our order were served first. We received our food approximately 30 minutes after them and when we addressed our conundrum with the server, he instantly became defensive and blamed the order in which we received our food on the order in which they were submitted. That said, he had to be the culprit as he was responsible for entering our orders. So, when I responded with the conclusion that the unacceptable wait was due to his failure to submit our order to the cook, he sarcastically stated…

This place is amazing! Great food, great atmosphere and the ambiance takes it to a new level. Visited a few times and they never disappoint. I try a new dish each time (oxtail tacos are my fave), each one better than the last. If you are just in the mood for a nice drink, Neil can whip up anything from the classics to your very own special cocktail. 15 out of 10 in my opinion.
