We took a break from Ironwood for quite a while after they had been open for a bit. Too expensive and the service was awful. Fast forward to last month and things are totally different! We decided to give them a try again on a whim and we were pleasantly surprised. The happy hour is awesome and the staff is super friendly and offers great service. Matt makes some amazing cocktails and doesn’t try to get all fancy with the classics. His old fashioned is easily one of the best in the valley. Great beer, wine and liquor options are also available. The food can be hit and miss but if it’s not right they’ll make sure it is! Great spot to relax, watch some sports or place some bar games.

I went to ironwood before the remodeling and it was pretty cool. It mostly attracts a group between the ages of 35 to 55. The drink prices were also pretty reasonable….. But when I tell you I ordered a Long Island it was $10 it absolutely spoiled my whole experience. I would be $30 in just for 3 drinks….ain’t no way. And this isn’t just me thinking that was too much. After I orderd the drink the guy next to me was like why the hell is that drink $10. Especially since it didn’t even come in a $10 size cup lol…He was right and that low key pissed me off more. It’s definitely giving the drinks are more expensive because of the remodeling LOL.

Happy hour is the best here. It should be better known and raging. Gardin city is a hippie sanctuary for hippies unknown to the treasure valley. I digress about the valley. This bar is the best I have encountered by far in many of years. Far better that cowgirls, Kuna. If your looking for cigars it’s stuffed full.

Trying to get ahold of management the bar tender at night likes to over ring his till. A seven dollar draft with 3$ dollar tip ended up costing me 27$ . Last night playing pinball I caught him overcharging me. I really despise people who do this in industry jobs. I quess my 3 dollar tip wasn’t enough for him to pour one drink.

It was fun, may have been better further from the band or if the sound was adjusted. Food was ok bar food, but they did forget to put our food order in too. Service was lacking, but that may have been staffing issues. I’d be willing to try it again.
