Best hibachi in Charlotte, hands down! Ishi has been a favorite of ours for ages, even when it was in the strip mall. They still have quality food at great prices. This time around we got the Panther Roll, the mixed hibachi vegetables, and chicken/steak hibachi. The chicken wasn’t too dry, and was yummy as always. The steak was cooked just how we liked it, medium rare as ordered. The Panther Roll was amazing! Definitely appreciated the extra sauce on the side of the sushi. It’s a 40 min drive to Ishi for us, but WELL worth it!

Not bad for American sushi. I had the salmon nigiri lunch special which came with a salmon roll. I was expecting to be be disappointed, but it wasn’t bad. The beef broth soup threw me off a little. It didn’t taste bad, I just don’t know how it was supposed to fit into a sushi meal. The gyoza were deep fried and also better than expected. Service was fairly quick as there weren’t many customers and prices weren’t bad for what we ordered.

Been coming to Ishi for years. This area’s best kept little secret. Folks are always super friendly, service and food are always fast and fresh, and the prices are very fair, and plus it reliably tastes fantastic! Speaking of fantastic – the Fantastic Roll is superb.

Love their hibachi. I’m picky with my hibachi spots and this one is one of my favorites. Food is very consistent and service is fast. No dine in, it appears the dining room is used for storage. Must’ve happened due to covid.

The sampler 2 that I ordered tasted absolutely disgusting because it was overdue. I would like to get a refund on it but I can’t get into contact with anyone from ishi. If this is how the food is I will not be recommending nor will I be ordering food from here ever again.
