I’m So happy about this restaurant, I feel like we need more variety in this area of New Rochelle. Island Bamboo did not disappoint! Their fried chicken was tender, flavorful and that Crunch?!?!!!!! Let me tell you about their Oxtail and Rice and peas——- absolutely mouth watering!!! The two ladies that helped me at the register had excellent customer service and if you’re Caribbean, you already know why I’m specifying this. If you haven’t tried this spot, you better go ahead, their food is Delishhhh!

I have ordered from this restaurant twice, the first time was yummy and flavorful, but my most recent order was very salty inedible, and mostly bone. I ordered the curry chicken, and I had such high hopes, but I was sadly disappointed. Overall, I’ll say it has potential, but it may be delicious or it just may be like every other restaurant that never delivers. That being said, I’ll give it 3 stars because I Iiked my first order.

By far the best restaurant I have visited.The jerk chicken burger, fried chicken, fish and let me not forget the chili wings was phenomenal! This place hands down is one of the best spots in town. I would recommend it to anyone who loves a good Caribbean spot that taste like a Sunday lunch in the Caribbean.

When food is cooked with love and attention you can taste it. I had the oxtail/rice&peas with plaintain. Everything was flavorful. Home cooked meal feeling, atmosphere great, staff and people excellent. Love, Love, Love.
