Very good spot for Jamaican take out. I had the oxtail with rice and peas and cabbage. Funny enough I ate the cabbage first and couldn’t stop eating it. The oxtail were very tender and tasty. Usually, I don’t eat much of the rice and peas, but it was great too. The owner is a very nice lady. Unfortunately, I was so focused on eating that I forgot to take a picture.

One of the best Island Food restaurants, in Pensacola hands down. I remember this young lady from when I use to go to her house to purchase plates from her. She told me she was going to open up her own restaurant, and bam she did. I love her spirit. She has such a kind soul.

Obviously the fish. But y’all need to get right and come hit the Island part of the name. This stew chicken is falling straight off the bone.

THIS is absolutely the best fish I have ever had. It is crispy, light, and with a gorgeous color. It’s flaky, cooked perfectly and is a wonderful value for the enormous portion sizes. The Jamaican food is too delicious to adequately explain. Ms. Caroline – who is the kindest, friendliest women I have ever met – makes an ox tail dish that is this side of heaven. Ms. Caroline’s jerk chicken is such a delicacy that she pure shames 5 star restaurants trying to imitate this savory perfection. She also makes these meat pies with a crust that is a golden wonder with a melt in your mouth flavor combination you wont find anywhere else. I love Ms. Caroline! They say the way to a person’s heart is through the stomach, well she and her dishes have certainly made this my favorite place to eat.

I’ve already left a review on this place before but wanted to share a photo of the chalkboard menu (subject to change I’m assuming). As always, this place never disappoints. If you’re looking for good fried fish, don’t sleep on this place

Love this place the food is always on point. One of those hidden gem hole in the wall places. I highly recommend the ox tail when its on the menu. The meat is very tender everything seasoned very well. The lady in the kitchen and owner can cook fantastically. The restaurant also got Jamaican ginger soda that’s also pretty good on the taste buds.
