Tasteless food. Went here to have dinner, the ambience was ok, the price was to be expected. While the person who served us was pleasant and friendly, we waited a long time for her to take our order. Waited even longer for the food we ordered. Makes you wonder since there was only 1 other couple there with us-(separate party)and even after they were served, finished eating and left, we still waited a good while before we got our food. Yes we understand the food was cooked to order/ 2 of our dishes, but the time the hostess/waitress gave us- we waited double that time. Plus we were the only ones there. Hhmm!? So you would expect that after the wait the food would be to die for. However, the steamed fish was very bland, no okra, no seasoning and overcooked. The grilled chicken was also bland, unseasoned and undercooked. And the curry chicken just had no taste. They said it was Jamaican, but these had no flavor, or tasted like Jamaican food. The only experience of Jamaican food was the cost. Not even the essence or smell was present. The place was empty of patrons (maybe because it was a Sunday evening. or lack of flavor of food) Anyway the waitress/ hostess told us that they provided several entertainment there during the week. We needed a place for carry out and ended up at Island Flava. When i finished the order person on line ended convincing to come in. Place was nice atmosphere with good music. I ordered the Jerk Salmon and it was super delicious…spicy :). Everyone was so attentive and welcoming. Truly a great experience for our family. Thank you

This place is not terrible at all I got jerk chicken which was in my opinion a 7 out of 10 the reason I give it three stars is because the rice was really dry and the jerk chicken could of been better. Customer was great very friendly and clean atmosphere.

This was my first visit. Customer service was excellent and she was so patient with me. My husband had curry Chicken dinner meal (large) with rice and peas and steamed veggies. I had jerk Tofu, rice and peas, plantains and cabbage. We really enjoyed our meal. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! Thank you Island Flava! We will see you again!

This one is a little harder to rate. The server was nice & friendly, the food was good when we finally got it. I first ordered the Caribbean Jerk Pork Ribs, they did not have them. (We were their first customers that Sunday). Then I ordered the Jerk Chicken Wings, you guessed it they were out of chicken wings. Then they told me that they could do up something that would be vary good and similar to the wings. They fixed a chicken leg and then charged me for Jerk Chicken meal. My wife had the Caribbean Jerk Chicken bowl and enjoyed it. Other members of our party had the Grilled Chicken Breast & the Sweet & Sour Chicken and said that the food tasted good. We may try again but it will not be after church on a Sunday.

I do DoorDash and Uber! I went in months ago to pick up order,waited 13 min,no order…I left. I put them on my blacklist but decided to accept a Ubereats from there today! Get there, its empty..finally after 6 min girl come out and she’s confused about uber order saying she don’t have it, I show her the order…she still lost.. I left! Before it was a different girl that had attitude, this time same thing! It’s always some dry ratchet unprofessional attitude having girl they got giving orders out! A hot mess! Anytime I go to pick up orders up the street at Trelawny or Simlo, never have these issues!
