My first time coming into Island Foods Restaurant will not be my last trip. This is a VERY AUTHENTIC Jamaican restaurant, the beef and chicken patties are divine I just ate one of each, and my main course ️, Curry Goat with rice and peas is coming up next. If you are tired of all of the other sub-pat restaurants in Smithfield, come in and give these guys a shot. I stopped by and got the jerk chicken for my wife and I got oxtails, both with rice and peas. The food almost didn’t make it home and my entire truck smelled amazing by the time I got home. The food was amazing and the atmosphere is great as well. Down home authentic food, made by authentic people as well. Best beef patty I’ve ever had. Now I just need to get my kiddo in and hope that he likes it as well. If so, it’ll be added to the going out places. We will be back again for sure!!

First, the service was fantastic. I was greeted with a smile and I was given a sample for a new item in the menu (jerk pork is delicious). I got the stew chicken, oxtails, 2 chicken Pattie’s and Mac and cheese, the sauces from the meats were rich and delicious and the Mac and cheese was creamy and slightly tangy. I will be coming back!

I agree the Jerk Chicken is amazing. I have eaten here 3 times. Each time mixed vegetables were good and fresh Jerk Chicken was excellent. The two times the Curry Goat was tiny pieces slightly overcooked. The Second time that I went the rice and peas were hard to the point of crunchy, but the first time and today rice and peas were excellent.

Great customer service, clean atmosphere and I loved the Jamaican melodies playing. Nice serving size for side items. I had a side of curry chicken and side of mac & chz. I had enough to eat some now later since my appetite was not that big. Thanks again Island Foods

Definitely a 5 point star restaurant hands down! The best Jamaican food I’ve had in a 100 mile radius. This place is a must try! We are traveling and the best decision we made was stopping here. I had the stew chicken. They’re new so please go support! Very friendly and great service!

Definitely one of the best authentic Island cuisine restaurants in the area! Food was hot and delicious and customer service was top notch! There were more oxtails than shown in the photo but I’d already eaten several lol. I’ll be coming back for sure!
