Island Fork Jamaican restaurant is a spot worth waiting for. Although the wait time for your food might test your patience, the payoff is absolutely worth it. I recently placed a to-go order of jerk chicken, and let me tell you, it’s easily one of the most delicious jerk chickens I’ve savored in the Austin area. The seasoning was spot on, striking the perfect balance between spices and heat.

First time trying oxtail and curry goat plates. Also had the beef patties. Beef patties are delicious!! Great flavor, not too much pepper and crust is flaky. My husband and I did not like the rice and peas, just not what we’re used to and the lettuce instead of steam veggies was also a cooling the tongue surprise. Great tasting overall. We will be back

Sooooo dissapointed. I know meat…oxtail in particular & these were DEFINITELY OLD. I’m willing to pay more for good food as oxtail are expensive but, this was the most dissapointed I’ve been with oxtail. It tasted like they cooked them & then had them in the freezer for a long time and thawed out.

I went there on a Sunday. Wasn’t told about the Sunday special. I ordered the jerk chicken, rice and plantains. It – was – delish!! It was so good , I think it put me in a food coma! I’m going back until I try everything!! Except the oxtails. Not a fan. Next on the list, hmmm – decisions, decisions.

Brought my work team to eat here for my early retirement party from Applied Materials. I hate the say that the food wasn’t as good as it normally is. The oxtails and beef patty was good. Can’t say the same for the jerk chicken this time around. This the only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars due to the jerk chicken not being as good and a bit dry…

Had the stew chicken, it had great flavor. Peas and rice was lacking a little but it served as a good compliment to the meat. The Rasta pasta was good also just a bit too spicy for my liking. And lastly, the Jamaican patty was on point I should’ve order 3 of them..lol.
